Can Black play 3B at MLB level?

Certainly not yet. He's gotten better. But it is very very much a work in progress even with the improvements.

A mini-rally in the top of the ninth has the Mudcats within 3-4. A Luke Adams free pass. A sinking liner eating up the Lynchburg CF who slipped and fell as the ball went to the CF wall. And a Hedbert Perez rbi ground out to 1B. Parra swung at three straight off-speed deliveries missing each one. Two down. Vargas will try and work some magic.

For as consistent as Tyler Black has been, we can point to how inconsistent phenom Jackson Chourio has been. He goes down swinging at a high inside heater in the 8th. He just has looked frustrated and unsure at the dish the entire night after roping that 110 mph liner that was snagged by the SS.

And yet another blown call by an infield ump. This time in Biloxi. Let's take a look as to whether INF Ethan Murray held this tag on the slide at 2B. Hint: he definitely did. Ump looking right at the play. Fails to see the runners foot is clearly on top of Murray's cleat and not the bag. I tell you these plays have been happening on a nightly basis against the Brewers affiliates. It's unreal how often they blow these plays.

I feel you Mr. Murray. 100%. And that shot above is after the runners foot was a good 3-4" above that cleat hanging in the air. I have no idea how they miss these glaringly obvious calls.

Can we get Edgardo Ordonez some more consistent PAs please?

Did nothing but rope for two summers in the DSL and is 2-3 so far today giving him a .444 average and 1.056 OPS over his first 20 Arizona PAs.

Agreed! He's a very very intriguing bat.

Shuckers have pulled within 7-6. Runners on the corner. OF Carlos Rodriguez will attempt to tie it or grab a walk-off. He hit the two-run double to pull within 7-5 earlier. YES SIR! He hits the single on a grounder up the middle. My goodness. It's 7-7. Still two down. And LF Tristen Lutz will try to walk it off. Wow. What a wild inning.

The Shuckers have trailed by 4 runs on three separate occasions in this tilt. Rodriguez takes second base on indifference. They have no business winning this game until they do. Lets see if they can steal one. AND YES THEY DO!!!!!! Woot Woot!!!! Lutz liner to CF! A walk-off single. WOW. Yeah BABY!!!!!

Oh baby. THAT. WAS. AWESOME. What heart that inning. Fantastic fight. Great AB's. Total team effort. Glorious. 8-7. Way to give out some medicine after two heartbreaking losses to close the Montgomery road series. Great way to end our viewing evening!

Two more stolen bases for young INF Dylan O'Rae. Man, this young man apparently has some wheeeeels. That's now a 13-for-13 mark in only 9 games. I like this trend!

Wisconsin are 15-9 in their last 24 games after being swept 2 times in 3 series to start May. Finally starting to play better team baseball. Think they will compete for the top of the division in the 2nd half.

That late comeback by Biloxi means that our full season affiliates have climbed back to an aggregate season record of 128-128, with 9 games remaining in the first half (4 Wednesday, 5 Thursday).

I’ll take this as a no and probably never will.
