Dorrian botched another transfer. That was a game-ending DP. Dorrian has botched two transfers tonight during dp's. That was a clear game-ending play Dorrian couldn't make. My goodness. Like I said earlier, if they blow this game it is all on defense post-sixth inning. Ugh. 9-8. Two down.

HUGE performance by Vieira there. Fighting a stupid strike zone via the Indianapolis ABS. Fighting more poor defense during key spots. He digs deep. And he gets the K to end the game. Sounds win 9-8.

Well, the home plate umpire clearly robbed RHP Tanner Shears of two strikeout pitches on the outer stripe. Beautiful pitches. And, C Matthew Wood clearly can't catch Tanner Shears (yikes - I mean, I kind of get it, Shears raw stuff is filthy). Regardless, Shears gets the swinging miss on a 3-2 inside heater.

I have seen so much weird baseball tonight my head is spinning. ABS strike zones clearly mal-adjusted. Errors galore. Relievers giving up long ball after long ball. Umps blowing things.

Walking the Minor League beat can take a toll some evenings. 😅

Matt Wood continues to have serious trouble catching RHP Tanner Shears. He lost two strikes in the last inning and those balls went flying off his mitt. He fails to corral a strikeout pitch on a wicked slider down and in to a lefty. Wood was expecting center cut. But, instead of sliding to back the pitch he tried to one-hop grab it back-handed and the ball went to the back stop. Recorded a WP. I personally don't like how his catcher has repeatedly hung his pitches out to dry. Wood needs to do better. I get a pitch here and there.

Wood more than redeems himself by nabbing the lead runner who inexplicably went on a 2-2 pitch. He is caught stealing. AND, Shears then walks the batter. You just can't be going there. Your team is down 6-4. Runner back on first. Two down. 6-4 T-Rats.

The ACL Crew lead 2-1 late. They head to the 9th looking to close this down. Intriguing pitching debuts tonight and a bounce back scoreless outing for RHP Ryne Moore after relieving rehabbing RHP Joseph Hernandez.

WELL, file this one under 'Things you definitely did not plan to see in the ACL Crew's night tilt':

CF Dylan O'Rae. Yes, that's correct: CF. Just grabbed an OF assist nabbing the go-ahead White Sox run at the dish baby in the top of the 10th. Whew baby. The ACL Crew then walked it off on a run-scoring rbi single off the bat of Miguel Briceno

That had to have felt awesome. O'Rae continues to surprise and shine in ways we didn't even know.

The ACL Crew move to 27-20. They have won 6 straight. They lead the ACL Reds by 2.5 G in their ACL Central division.

It would appear INF Eduardo Garcia may have tweaked something on his 2B in the 1st frame. He was pulled from the game and there wasn't a detailed update from manager Joe Ayrault other than he may have tweaked a leg and he hopes he's OK.

What's their record since the draft guys joined in? They've been monstrous

This was actually O’Rae’s 6th start in CF this summer. Four starts at shortstop, 24 at second base.

I probably should have stated: my ACL Box habituated it's too late mind.😅

What's even funnier here, for me, is O'Rae has actually almost been exclusively a CF since Boeve has been the near everyday 2B. And you'd think with my child like excitement he had never touched the outfield grass! It was still quite exciting to see the OF assist. Anywho, O'Rae continues to shine.
