Through 4 innings, the Mudcats have out-hit the Shorebirds 6-2 and also struck out 7 of them (vs. 3 Ks for Carolina), yet trail 1-0.

Keep up the traffic and we’ll win this one behind Logan Henderson.

RHP Yerlin Rodriguez didn't have his best stuff in the zone today giving up the tying run in the top of the 9th but LF Kaylan Nicasia (very underrated defender - he actually made a diving stab of a catch in shallow LF for the first out of the ninth frame) took the rbi-single and hit a perfect relay to Jadher Areinamo who fired a strike to C Jose Sibrian for the tag and the out at home plate to preserve the tie. Oh, this Jose Sibrian:

Absolutely smoked a center cut heater. Well past the LF wall just left of the scoreboard. They were considering walking him too. I believe they made the wrong decision. The crowd was chanting 'Luuuuuuuuuke' before and after the AB. It was a 1-0 count, actually, because they gave the pitcher a clock violation. 106 mph off the bat. 426 feet of distance. Sweet mammy jammy.

Do you think Adams knew? Or was mildly pumped? For those of us who've watched all year long, we know: Adams is so fun to watch. He loves the game.

ACL Brewers win 6-2 with Alexander Perez (2-5, SB), Eric Bitonti (2-4, 2B, BB) and Juan Baez (2-5, SBx2) leading the way on offense.

Was a group effort on the pitching side with Gerson Calzadilla throwing a scoreless frame (1 K, 1 BB) to lower his season ERA to 0.98 with 36 K and 10 BB over 36.2 IP for the 20 year old Venezuelan.

Recent signee KC Hunt also threw his second scoreless frame (1 K, 1 H) since coming aboard.

That’s a rough end to the Minor League day.

Each of the Sounds, Shuckers and Rattlers got the potential game-running run to the plate in the 9th inning, but each lost.
