I know to all the analytics people out there that ave doesn't mean much  , but we have five guys in today's lineup Hitting .225 or below , while Texas has none ! And here we are going for the sweep!  What a strange game at times !

We have the lowest team batting average in the National League and the third from the worst in all of Major League Baseball. And we are in first place. So you could say, What a good job CC is doing in spite of poor hitting. But you can also say, How far could we seriously go in the playoffs if we hit the baseball better.

Just think if we had a mediocre offense ! 6 or 7 game lead or more!  I see signs of people start come around , would be nice if was more than one or two guys could get hot , but beggars can't be choosers !

I will always believe that batting average matters 

And my preferred batting average is .280 & above
