Possible February Signings

I still think the Brewers should make a splash move and sign one of the FA righthanded DHs - JD Martinez or Jorge Soler - to solidify their everyday lineup and add more pop, particularly against lefthanded pitching.  I also think 1 more veteran starter that has the track record of taking the ball every 5th day and giving you 200 IP would be incredibly valuable to this team....which is why Bauer makes a ton of sense from an onfield performance standpoint.

Frankly, they probably have the budget to still do both, and I hope they make at least one of these type of moves.

Belt makes the most sense to me of the guys still out there. DH everyday vs RHP and spell Hoskins at 1B as needed.

I’d be fine with JDM too, costs more and doesn’t give any positional flex, but would be a certified middle of the order masher.

Don’t see then going multiple years on a DH only guy, so prolly no dice on Soler unless he wants to take a high dollar short term deal like Teoscar did with the Dodgers.

Dark horse move could be trading Adames, then reinvesting the money saved on him and Burnes to sign Matt Chapman.

I still think we sign one of the remaining 3B FA's on a 1-year deal.  Would love for it to be Chapman, but that's probably still unlikely.  Maybe it's an Urshela, Escobar, Segura or Moose type signing?  I know that might not be an earth-shattering type signing, but it might then make it easier for us to trade Adames to another team that needs a SS before the season gets under way.

I'd be in on Urshela, but this roster is getting filled up quick.  They are already upgrading free agent signing made earlier in the offseason (sanchez for haase).  What's next? Find an upgrade for Junis or Ross (though would be ok with that as well)?

Junis is getting paid 7 million so we are expecting a lot from him.

i would jump for Joy adding Champman  and an Lefty like ryu will set it up nice.

Just woke up and saw the Gary Sanchez signing.  That looks like a very good upgrade at catcher and DH.
