Arizona hasn't been to the Final Four since 2001.  In 22 seasons since then (excluding 2020 when there was no tournament), they have been ranked in the top 10 at some point during the season 15 times.

They've lost in the first round six times.  They've made the Elite Eight five times.

Winning in the NCAA tournament is hard.

Now if we could get Duke knocked out.

I guess at this point UConn might as well be considered a blue blood as well.

Marquette pulls their best Arizona impression and all but ruins my chance at a big payday for my bracket!

UCONN and Purdue clearly look like the class of this bracket. Houston was banged up a little, and losing Shead totally crushed them.

Purdue-Tennessee is a gem of a game, as is UCONN-Illinois.

The other two will be fun too. Clemson and Alabama trying to play totally different games and a great, underrated rivalry in Duke-NC State.

I had a disastrous sweet 16.  Went in with 7 of my elite 8 teams still playing and I went 2-5 with one of the picks being a team I picked to lose in the elite 8 and the other being my champion, but I'm already behind the other person in my group to pick them so second place is my highest possibility.  Buy still some fun game ahead so it's whatever.

I don't do the bracket pools anymore but my wife makes them out at work & many of her picks go along the lines of "Oh, I'm picking Utah over Alabama b/c I really liked Salt Lake City when we spent the night there, remember?" 

She actually does pretty well.

That's funny.  After the games had started, my wife told me she filled out a bracket at her work.  She does not watch, follow or know anything about college basketball.  I asked her who she picked:  Wisconsin (my college) over Auburn (her college) in the title game.  Well at least she played.

I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say UConn looks like an NBA team against the competition they have faced this year. But yeah,  he needs to make headlines somehow I guess

I looked up the record for any D1 game and it was 40-0 by Ohio U in 2020. I haven't found the record for a tournament game.

UCONN is the best college basketball team I have ever seen. Maybe that 2021 Baylor team comes closest. Or 2009 North Carolina. 2013 Louisville and 2018 Villanova as sleepers. 

Started watching closely in the late 90s. Maybe UCONN won't win the title, and I'll have to take them off this list. I think this UCONN team handles the 2015 Kentucky team that Kaminsky and Co sent packing.

I am rooting for Tennessee tomorrow, but UCONN-Purdue has to be the matchup everyone wants at this point.

In other news, the D2 final was awesome.

I'm picking Tennessee to win, but just the thought of Edey going up against Clingan intrigues me. It'd be like one of those bad Japanese monster movies from the 60s. Godzilla vs Whoever.

Whining and privilege: Duke traditions since 1980.

That said, these double digit seeds winning games is cute and all in the first two rounds, but who really wants to see them in the final four? NC State is in the tournament because of what is basically a technicality.
