With the news about Cole going onto the shelf for a couple of months today for the NY Yankees, I'm a little surprised that the ChiSox pulled the trade trigger today.  Kinda figured they would push the bidding up for a couple more days before finalizing its deal (to anyone).

That's pretty good value for Cease. A decent RP, plus SD's #5, 7, and 8th best prospect. MLB ranks Thorpe as a 55 grade, and the other two as 50's.  I'll try a Brewers comparison of Peguero, Misio, Carlos Rodriguez and Lara.  Misio is not a good comparison to Thorpe but overall the package would be similar.  Maybe Gasser is a better comparison but I think Thorpe is better.

I'd say about equal to O's depending on where you fall on Hall. But I agree our deal I'd better because Burnes makes a decent amount more than Cease this year.
