Mudcats could have gotten the game in.  Dark and a bit windy, but the forecasted rain never materialized and may not until late evening, if at all.

RHP Jacob Misiorowski (4 ER, 7 Ks in 4.1 IP last week) starts the first game of AA Biloxi’s doubleheader at Mississippi, as the Shuckers look to reverse a 1-0 series deficit.

RHP Evan McKendry makes his 3rd start of the young season and DH/OF Brewer Hicklen aims to build on his 7-game hitting streak. AAA Nashville seeks to double its series lead to 2-0 in Memphis.

It's weird seeing Misiorowski at 94mph in the 2nd inning. Really hasn't found the velo yet this season.

Same inning the Shuckers load the bases with 0 outs then proceed to strike out 3 straight times. The Shuckers offense has been very, very bad in the early going.

Tough start of the game for the Sounds: gave up 3-run first inning; OF Chris Roller exited in the 2nd inning.

After dropping today’s opening game, 24-year old LHP Nate Peterson (3.75 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 9.4 K/9 in 74.1 IP in High-A/Low-A last year) makes his first AA and 2024 start, with Biloxi needing a victory to avoid a 3-0 series deficit at Mississippi.

Game 2 headed to extra innings. 0-0 score of course because the Biloxi offense only has 4 baserunners through 7 innings.

Yerzy grounds out to the 1B to open the inning bringing Manfred runner Zamora to 3B. Noah Campbell and Eduardo Garcia both proceed to strike out and Biloxi goes scoreless in the top of the 8th. Biloxi has now scored 3 runs in their last 45 innings with 1 of the 3 runs being a Manfred runner.
