AA Biloxi has dropped 4 games in a row, so needs a repeat dominant performance from RHP TJ Shook (5 shutout innings with 7 Ks last outing). DH Mike Boeve has 3 consecutive multi-hit games at Pensacola.

Look who’s healthy, batting cleanup and ready to end Nashville’s 3-game skid: RF Brewer Hicklen(!!), who exited Tuesday’s game in pain after an HBP. RHP Chad Patrick (3.46 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 6.2 K/9 in 13 IP) is the starter tasked with ending the skid in Louisville.

Pretty incredible. It looked like a major injury the way he crumpled to the ground and was incapable of putting weight on his left leg while coming off the field.

The last scheduled start today comes from RHP Brett Wichrowski (1.64 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, 11.5 K/9 in 11 IP) for High-A Wisconsin in Peoria. CF Luis Lara has hit safely in 9 of 10 games, with 10 RBIs.

Knoth loads the bases with 3 BB in the 2nd inning then pitches out of it 2 strikeouts and a flyball to just short of the warning track in LF. 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO. Might be done for the day.

Someone bring the defibrilator to Biloxi's clubhouse. My gods that offense is criminally bad right now.

I mean, I'm not lying here. This is the Shuckers 9th inning 'rally':

HBP, WP, walk, K, walk, Balk, K...They now trail 4-1 with runners on 2nd and 3rd.

They have 2 hits. Cargo to the dish now with 2 down during a pitching change.

Looks like TJ Shook (5 IP | 2 ER | 4 H | 2 BB | 7 K) turned in another solid start for the Shuckers while Sam Gardner went Zero Clubbing for two innings with 1 H | 1 BB | 3 K.

The Shookster has been fantastic early in 2024. That's my guy. Ride or die, baby.

Juan Baez (1-4, BB), Tayden Hall (1-3, BB), David Garcia (3-3, 2B, BB) and Yhoswar Garcia (2-4) all reached multiple times.

Nashville offense with tons of traffic en route to 11 runs through top of nine.

Tyler Black (3-6)
Andruw Monasterio (2-4, BB, SF, SBx2)
Isaac Collins (3-4, 2B, BBx2, SB)
Brewer Hicklen (2-4, 2B, SF, BB)
Francisco Mejia (2-6, 2B)
Noah Campbell (1-4, 2B, BBx2)
Yonny Hernandez (3-5, 3B)
Vinny Capra (2-4, BB)
Chavez Young (1-4, HBP)

Enoli Paredes opens the bottom of the ninth on the mound trying to preserve a three run lead and pick up the save.

No kidding on Barrios at 2-3 with a bomb. Matthew Wood has also left the yard while Eduarqui Fernandez has a round tripper and a half tripper.

TRats picked up another run top of six via a Terence Doston double (his second of the game) and a Dylan O’Rae reach on error.

Joseph Hernandez (1.1 IP | 1 K) and Jake Polancic (1 IP | 1 K) were admitted to the Zero Club out of the pen.

Gameday currently says Rain Delay top of seven.

Paredes works around a single and the rare Hernan Perez base on balls to put up a zero and seal the Sounds victory, picking up his second save of the season.

Honestly think he should get promoted to AAA when Gasser gets added to the MLB rotation. He's been in AA for 200 innings now and has improved at a steady rate to the point where he's just a good AA pitcher now.

Gregory Barrios hits homers now too? Nice bonus!

Eduarqui Fernandez is having a good stretch at the plate.

3 SBs for Luis Lara.

I totally missed that Isaac Collins was in center field tonight. The guy’s doing it all. Thank you again Rockies.

Joseph Hernandez lives! Glad he’s back at it.

Too bad Stiven Cruz is struggling so much.

I think I jinxed Blayberg Diaz. Tough day at the plate.

Gotta keep waiting for the real Tyler Durden…I mean Justin Dirden to show up.

Good to see Brett Wichrowski promptly bounce back from the first inning difficulty.

Was it target practice against Freddy Zamora? 3 HBPs. Ouch.

Probably should have started the season in AAA.  He was money down the stretch last season.

Never thought this team’s farm would have too many legit starter arms to keep track of by memory, but that’s where we are with me — incredible turnaround for the system, arm-wise. Thank you Johnson & co.
