Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood is about to invaded!

I am not being jaded!

But, I think the Marlins win last night will be quickly faded!

Gasser and Crew will win by more than a few!  For the Marlins, it will be boo-hoo on this Day of Tue!

Chourio should be counting the days until he only plays against lefties. Apparently every top prospect in our system automatically becomes a platoon bat...Turang is 6 for his last 13 and has been one of our best hitters this season, but yes we should definitely platoon him.......

So we have a guy batting .150 in place of Turang batting .314 because Turang is a righty hitter.

Murphy, Murphy, Murphy.  Please try again.

Turang career vs LHP (93 PA)
198/293/210 (48 wRC+)

Monasterio career vs LHP (106 PA)
278/377/400 (118 wRC+)

Brice isn't going to play every inning of every game, so best to give him an occasional rest when there is a lefty on the mound.

Someone mentioned that Murphy might be overdoing the righty/lefty matchups. Probably is, but this one seems ok to me. Monasterio has been making some good swings on the baseball since he's been up.

Yes he went 3 for 5 on the 19th in Hou.  OK I'll accept one more day off.  Yes everyone needs a rest, but more than 2 days for a 24 year old should be adequate.

Why is Adames hitting clean up again?

If he has to play while slumping - drop him to the bottom of the lineup

Good point, why dosent Adamas need rest?

I actually think it would be a good idea to give Adamas a day or two off.  Especially if he is slumping. Maybe when Turang comes back he will slide in at short for a game or 2.

Can you get rid of the outlier that is last season?

93 and 118 career PAs are already tiny samples.

If you want to get minuscule and look at 2024 only it’s…

Turang (20 PA)
235/350/294 (94 wRC+)

Monasterio (13 PA)
182/308/455 (118 wRC+)

Yeah, his swing decisions are really bad right now. Overly aggressive and it's being exploited.

He had at least been hitting the ball hard for a couple of series (or at least I think he was), but now he's just striking out a lot.

What are you trying to make those numbers do?

That he hits better on the road.

They can talk about Chourio’s “teachable moment”, but to me the teachable part is if you can end the game, try to end it by diving for that ball
