21-year old RHP Josh Timmerman (4.23 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 11.4 K/9 in 27.2 IP) and Low-A Carolina are indeed shooting to finish off a 6-game home series sweep of Delmarva. LF Yhoswar Garcia’s .336 batting average is 4th in the 12-team Carolina League (of top 100-PA players).

Carolina really wants the 6 game sweep. 8 runs through 2 innings on 8 hits (7 singles, 1 double), 3 BB, 1 HBP. 8-1 Mudcats through 2 innings.

The answer is yes.  Clarke with a tidy 4IP, 4H, 4K, 0BB and 64 pitches.  McKendry is in in relief, and Sounds up 7-0 after 6. (Looks like Black with a GS in the 4th)

Wisconsin had a promising start, HR by Areinamo in the first. But then nothing. No hits. No runs. No nothings since. And now down 5-1 in the 9th.

Meanwhile, TRats do get some base runners in the 8th (sorry I mistakenly wrote 9th earlier I thought it was the 9th) and get 3 runs. 5-4 now. Keep I close and let’s see if they can walk it off tonight as well …..

Mudcats win while committing seven errors. I think the last time I remember anything like that, I was concerned about players securing a ride from their parents & getting to the game on time.

Really nice to see Taylor Clarke turn in an impressive outing today, especially while being stretched out. That, and what Ashby did the other day, make it a good week in Nashville.
