Obviously, we picked up our starting playoff 3B in Donaldson off the waiver market last year. Could we have an opportunity to patch up some of our holes this year? 

Fangraphs explored today who could become available if the Rangers decided to waive the white flag and go all in on cutting costs. Some names who might be of interest to the Brewers.

By far the biggest potential addition would be Eovaldi. He would be a game changer at the top of the Brewers rotation, considering it was only a year ago that he started game 1 and the clinching game of the World Series.

He wouldn’t even make it to the Brewers to select him.

Agreed. I doubt the Rangers even put him on waivers to begin with.

If we’re wishcasting, yeah, Eovaldi looks good. And also put me down for some Amed Rosario shares. He would be a substantial upgrade over Monasterio as infield depth, and would give plenty of quality ABs down the stretch.
