See ya in spring training, Mears.

The deadline bullpen acquisition curse strikes again.

I think we'll see a busy Nashville shuttle in September with Ashby, Hall, Paredes, Pegeuro, and maybe Herget, Yoho, and Misiorowski in the mix.

I like Mears stuff but he just hits to much of the plate in the wrong counts. I still think he is a guy Hook and company can turn into a dude.

I like the idea of bringing Ashby up, we can see him a couple time before September callups and that might help us know if Misi and/or Yoho come up depending on how well he does.

I’m thrilled to see this move

Hopefully, Mears helps the Brewers in 2025 & beyond

I’ve seen all I need to see of him in 2024

Ashby has been lights out recently & there are 3-4 others worthy of roster consideration before we even sniff Mears or Milner

Yeah, I like Mears still. But not in the 7th inning role right now...and I agree, the Brewers will get him back on track.

Ashby, the big obstacle seems to be getting the velo and location back. I'm not giving up on him being a starter, but for the time being, if he can throw like he did in his last outing in AAA(the only one I watched of the last 4) then he's going to be a BIG contributor.

I think there's a maybe 33% chance the Brewers DFA him if he's not signed to a contract earlier this year, so glad to see him figure it out.

If the Brewers don't win the division I should be banned. However, they will.

Yup! A massive break for the Brewers, getting a power Lefty back and healthy when it appeared he was nearly done.
