Well this inning sucks. WIley's ongoing issues at SS are dumbfounding. That was about as routine a play as there gets. Can't have that after a two-run no out jack. Woof.

Hoskins has to be the worst 1B at scooping low throws in MLB history.  I haven’t seen someone whiff so many times on low scoops as him.  Definitely is a DH only at this point in his career.

Bad throw but it was a very catchable low ball throw.  Hoskins just absolutely whiffed at it like his AB’s today.

Hoskins is a guy who you send up to the plate and hope he hits it out. He won't ever help you in any other baseball way.

I hear you. That scoop was absolutely not on him. That was a terrible sinker throw. No reason, with that much time, the ball should land there.

Agreed. That was absolutely not on Hoskins. That was a scorching sinker short-armed cannon shot.

The throw was definitely on Willy, the error definitely on Willy. It was Willy's mistake. It's just that there are a lot of 1B out there that can bail their infielder out of a bad mistake. Hoskins is never that guy.

He may. It didn't look all that sore on the next groundout. That was an accurate rocket.

If his atrocious accuracy for the last couple months is due to soreness in his arm I sure hope he would have brought it up by now.

I would enjoy this team a little more if I knew they could hold a one run lead for 2-3 innings.     Take some pressure off the offense to have to score late all the time.
