No chance. That send of Lara was one of the worst sends I've ever seen. He was out by like 20ft lol!

Adams, Pratt and Areinamo- if I were to predict guys with a good chance at being productive MLBers I’d start with them. Then Estevez - he is nit perfect. But is one heckuva manager. I love this TRat team.

I will put down C Ramon Rodriguez as our best Catcher from Low-A to Double-A at present. This has nothing to do with what you wrote but I'm in the feels! 😅

And KC Hunt looks like he is pitching well.  Real well. 5 IP. Only 1 hit and the Shuckers now lead 5-0. With Pensacola losing it’s a win and you’re in for Biloxi.

For reference to everyone. This is where Luis Lara was when the ball hit the catcher's glove.

^^ This is an AI edit. Fake news! Fake news! That was the Brewers' Jason Lane filling in during the ninth inning.😁

Yeah that ball was hit hard and not that deep. I heard the announcer say “they are sending Lara” and was surprised but when I saw that feed and how far he was from home. I was just thinking “ugh” but at least it tied and knew Luke Adams was on deck.

Good news for Estevez is that managers in the MLB don't need to double time as base coaches!

Who had Ethan Murray with a 3 run HR to put the Shuckers up 8-0…. ?

‘was not on my bingo card that’s for sure. Wowza. MBraves have been struggling mightily and making Biloxi look like a competitive team - which they have not done in a month or two.

Wonder if they pull Hunt after 5 masterful innings to keep him fresh?

Well they bring Hunt out for the 6th.  Single (didn’t watch), then GIDP. Then 7 pitch walk.  Then high fly ball that Warren almost muffs.  At over 80,pitches and 6 strong innings. Hunt likely done. Shucker sup 8-0 and three outs from winning the second half title.

You know, what's wild is the Shuckers actually play the Biscuits fairly competitively.. Essentially, had they not absolutely blown their Saturday night game (?) their past series (and the 10-0ish blowout they then suffered in game 6 can just be tossed our the door) they were looking at consecutive 3-3 series splits in the second half. BUT, as we know, it just depends on which Shuckers team shows up.

Ben Metzinger. Mostly on the development list, played at three levels. 21 plate appearances,  5 walk. 11 strike outs. 5 outs. 0 hits. That’s a very unique line for a season.. it is almost a walk or a K, and nothing else.

Hunt still in. Not sure why. You’ll meet him fresh next week.  First runner gets on. And then EBJ who is so good defensively tries to make the catch in RF. Sparks does not call him off probably because how good EBJ normally is, but he flubs it. And Hunt to face the next batter and he walks him.  Seems like they are saying ok how much of a bulldog are you and can you close the deal.  But 98 pitches??/

It's been Yeager in for the whole 7th. Don't know why gameday took forever to change.

Yeah and I missed the beginning of the inning. The TV feed had Hunts name and they look similarish enough I was fooled until they called Yeagers name and I was embarrassed I mixed that up.

And Hunt - errrr Yeager 😉 gets the GIDP

And Mudcats exit the playoffs tonigh, but Biloxi enters it. And TRats extend it

All way better than my NFL team (lowly Dolphins got nationally embarrassed 😞).

Yeah I had to double check the roster after I turned the video on because it still said Hunt and he looks extremely similar to Hunt. I was right with you though wondering why on earth Hunt was still out there and over pitch 100.

Okay, I'm glad I wasn't losing my mind. I was watching on mute and thought that dude looked significantly slimmer.

I am still, hours removed, dumbfounded manager Nick Stanley didn't use red hot INF/OF Miguel Briceno in any way shape or form in this series. The over-investment in INF Fillipo Di Turi is awe-inspiring. Find someone who loves you like the Brewers org loves 2024 Carolina Mudcat Filippo Di Turi. He just hadn't shown any real signs of life for over two months. Going to Peina - a wildly inconsistent pitcher - to try and maintain a tie in a divisional Championship win or go home scenario over a guy like RHP Chandler Welch is beyond head scratching. You also have LHP Anthony Flores fresh at that point. Peina?!? That's your 'In Case of Emergency Innings' Break Glass guy. He isn't your 8th inning of a tie game 2 Divisional Series guy in any situation. In the end, I'm quite bummed the Muddies have exited early two years in a row. They certainly shot themselves in the foot in this two game set but I also feel their manager was not ready for the moment.
