With the crazy high prices what would it take to comfortably trade Freddy Peralta. Crochet has more upside because he throws harder but Freddy has been way more consistent. If we could get 2 top 100 style prospects and 2 more solid pieces I would have a hard time turning that down if there was a mlb ready arm in the deal. Here are a couple swoop us of off our feet style deals I think could interest us.

Freddy to the O's for Samul Basallo, Cade Povich, Dylan Beavers, Keeler Morfe

to the Braves for AJ Smith Shawver, Hurston Waldrop, Nacho Alvarez

to the Angels for Caden Dana, George Klassen, Dario Lavarde, Randy DeJuses

to the Rangers for Josh Jung and Emiliano Teodo,

I am sure there could be better deals and swap out prospects for mlb players but I do think with the crazy value being put on starting pitching we should be looking at selling high on Freddie for the right price.

If Freddy were on another team, he’s someone we’d be asking what it would take to acquire him.

Already lacking depth in the rotation, I wouldn’t be interested in trading Freddy unless someone wanted to pay something ridiculous, which I don’t think would happen.

Trading Freddy isn't a bad thought at all, IMO. With his two years of club control at a low price, he provides quality innings, but not quantity innings. I think you could get another DL Hall type of prospect plus one or two more pieces.

Stocking up on some MLB arms is never a bad idea if you are trading guys like Freddy.

I wonder if Mayo for Peralta would be close…

Of course you wonder that...

The answer is NO, not even close.

Peralta: 45.7

Mayo: 47.5

Not saying either side would do it.

Turboriffic trolls me any idea I have.   He’s nobody to really pay attention to on his posts.   Yeah it’s a close deal.

I don't like any of your trade proposals because they are all garbage.  You always overvalue our guys to the point that I can't take any of your ideas seriously.

It's as simple as that.

Carry on.

My bet is the Orioles would say no in a heartbeat.  We'd have to add another piece of value to even get them to listen.

I think this team needs to start moving guys with 2 years of control remaining in order to get a better return. We could have done much better if we moved Devin last offseason and as it turned out probably won a series or two in the playoffs and we really should at the very least listen in on offers for Freddy.

With his low salary and two years till free agency we could probably get a big return for him. Certainly I wouldn't just giveaway a guy like Freddy but its all about asset management and the best time to move Peralta is probably now.

I don't know what teams would offer but two years of a cheap starter is probably worth a lot. If we can get some good prospect arms or a power bat we should trade Peralta and if not we can always keep him.

No, the days of having to sell-off our best talent are over. Peralta’s performance and low salary are way more valuable to the team than adding more prospects to an already loaded system that has an amazing pipeline of prospect talent.

Then adding the comp pick/pool money for this team’s domestic draft department and it becomes a no-brainer.

Turboriffic hates our guys and sees something like Povich as a fair dealio for Peralta.

Luckily Sal Bando/Dean Taylor ***I mean Turboriffic****, doesn’t behold the GM position of the brewers and a guy closer to Scooter Fletcher that correctly values the values of our players  (Matt Arnold) does.
