Lance Lynn retired?

Why on earth didn't we give him a call?

Not like we don't need starting pitching, and he fits the bill for an aging veteran presence.

I'm not a big fan of his, and I know our track record with old Cardinals starters, but it seems like this is a rock we should have overturned...

Yes we did that with Dallas Keuchel last year also St. Louis Cardinals to Sign Anthony Rizzo.

Pass, Logan Henderson and Carlos Rodriguez are on the 40 man and would be worth more than the couple Lynn starts we would need.

What did he make, $11m last year? He probably wasn’t returning calls offering the veteran minimum or looking to work his way back to the majors through a minors deal. If he was open to those things he wouldn’t be retired.

Yeah, sounded like he got some offers over the winter but none of them were enough $$ for his liking so he said that's that.
