Koenig makes me nearvous. I’m going to pause the game & come back in 15 minutes. He hasn’t looked sharp in the early season - even if he has gotten good results.

That was hit hard.

Are you saying Cortes isn't actually hurt and just needs to suck it up?

I’m saying I’m past giving a crap.   The amount of money people pay pitchers not to play is ridiculous at this point in mlb

woodruff is exhibit A.

I'll be ready to give Durbin a shot of Capra doesn't pick it up soon

So who plays short Durbin can't and turang  isn't shifting over

I'm still not sure what you're arguing. Don't pay any pitcher any money in case he gets injured and you're paying someone to sit the bench and not play?

I may be wrong but I interpreted his initial post to mean injured players should play through injuries if possible … that’s why I responded with the Vukovich example from 1982

Patrick. Alexander. Last year Myers.

I'm not saying you are wrong but I do think there has to be room to give guys chances. Some times they don't work out. Good to find out early and fix rather than late and panic.

I definitely think there is room for some youth but Dunn and Capra are carrer minor leagues who are not prospects. Ortiz I was fine with. The chances of Vinny Capra turning into Jeff Cirrilo is zero.

Jeff Cirillo would look so good in this lineup

Don Money would too

Both the Brewers and Cortes are running businesses. Cortes probably has $30-$80 million dollars left in his arm for his career if he can manage it correctly. If you are him, why on earth would you risk blowing it up unnecessarily? If he is healthy, go out there and compete and improve your stock/play the game. If you are not healthy, get healthy.

Agree.   But it becomes my money when the front office complains that we can’t pay anybody while we have fifty dudes riding a bike at practice because their oblique can’t handle it

if I could snap my fingers and change one thing, I would make guaranteed contracts illegal in mlb.
