Really? Bunting? In the top of the 4th inning with a runner on 2nd and nobody out? Come on.

I didn’t care for it

If that's Ortiz making that decision he might need a day off. If the coaching staff is doing that, why is this guy batting 6th.

I like the bunt there. Probably hit it harder than he wanted, but this might be a tight game, and one run there could make all the difference.

It's just two early to play for one run, IMO.

I agree.

Was that a Murphy decision or does he allow his players to make decisions on bunts?

If your a good bunter it is hard to defend especially if the D is not expecting it.

Yeah, I think he was bunting for a base hit and hit it a little too hard.

Capra 's magic is gone.  Time to move on. Just wish we had options

Monasterio is struggling in Nashville too.

Durbin is coming around offensively but I’m not sure he can play 3rd base at the major league level.

Even if we lose Capra (which I don’t believe will happen), it’s probably time to look elsewhere.

I agree that he hit it too hard … I’d prefer to wait a few more innings before bunting in that situation.

I love the sound of the ball coming off Chourio’s bat.

i played through college & even into my late 20’s … not sure I ever hit a ball as smoothly as he does

Monasterio is Capra with the bat, but a worse glove.  No thanks.  Either can be removed from the 40 for an upgrade at 3b.

Moncada who would have been my choice for a free agent this offseason is already on the IL for the angels.  So, my route would not have been any better.  It was just a bad offseason to need a third baseman.
