This is ironic. Do any of your posts contribute anything to this forum other than complaining about other people complaining?

Not enough offense today. Disappointed in yesterday, but happy with the trip overall. 4-2 homestand, and then we have another West Coast series. Be nice to get those out of the way early.

Team has weathered an awful start. Sleeping bats waking up, pitching looking good. We're alright.

He had a good swing on a pitch to hit.

He tried to do too much that AB on 0-2, but I also get it. Would rather see that than caught looking 0-2.

It's hard to get around on those high ones, but he's done it before.

Yelich is still concerning though his advanced stats say he should be doing better than he is.  Though the eye test for Yelich is not there especially against LHP.  Yelich looks like he is going to be on the down swing earlier than thought.  He was good last year until the injury and now he looks like he was in 2020-2021 again.

This wasn't a day to go dormant offensively, but it also wasn't a day for Peralta to be hanging on by a thread before he even got out of the 5th. Needed the type of length he usually doesn't give us, but has a time or two in '25. And to their credit Zonas' hitters did nothing to help him. Not that Gallen needed it, but our hitters can't say the same.

Probably didn't cost them today, but there are going to be soooo many games where the BP has to get about half of the outs, that it's going to catch up to us if we don't have a 3rd LHP out there. Missing an Ashby or a Milner isn't huge yet, but will be if not rectified.

He's a major talent & I'm glad he's on our side for a long time, But the plate discipline thing with Chourio really gets magnified when others behind him aren't producing. That's a jump in baseball smarts & moxie that will propel him to another level and I hope it starts to show soon. Not so much the final out---Puk worked him well---but his AB in the 7th was horrible.

Arizona goes to a couple bench guys on a Sunday, and they throw Wauwatosa (or whatever his name is) out there at 2B and he plays a nearly flawless game on both ends. Typical.

True. He shouldn't be anywhere near the 3 hole either. At this point hit him leadoff and hope he can draw a walk

I would bat Yelich at 7 or 8 in the lineup and have him sit for a couple of games, too. Looks like he might need some extra batting practice. I don’t know why fans are upset at this series loss, the Diamondbacks are the better team and playing at home.

Too early to draw conclusions, but a mostly ugly first one-tenth of the season for him. Right now he could change his uni # to 43 to match the lions' share of his scorebook results. When he started to heat up last year he was Turanging a lot of balls to LF, which led to him getting some balls to pull. I think that's the ticket.

Cuz of the way they lost Saturday. Big pic, a 3-3 roadie is only a catastrophe if you let it morph into one.

Too early yes but it is still concerning.

Yelich against RHP:

Exit velocity isn't everything but it does tell a strong tale of what is going on.  Yelich is looking like a platoon bat going forward.  The thing that sucks is that the Brewers don't really have someone to replace Yelich in the lineup against LHP.  Hoskins should be that player at least power wise but he has been worse than Yelich against LHP.

I did read them, that’s why I said it. You have 56 posts on the board and all you really do is criticize other posters and “thumbs down” other people’s posts. You complain about negativity when that’s literally all you’ve had to offer this board.

That’s my point.

Agree it's certainly not everything, esp in his case. And IMO he's one of the last guys you want to see consciously trying to pull anyway. It'll be tough if he struggles enough to warrant the platoon b/c the options aren't really there as you said. Even when Perkins returns you already have two other lefty OF bats that you'd much rather see facing a righty.

If Hoskins doesn't provide the RH pop at some point it really hamstrings them.

So then according to u I can't comment on other peoples comments maybe I don't feel the need to rip on the brewers like others do

Yeli is ours until the end of the 2028 season, so the team needs to figure out how to help him be successful in the long term. I expect Murph and others will give him plenty of time and whatever else he needs to make improvements, even if that means we're not as productive as we should be in his spot. However, some really hard conversations may have to happen at some point this season.

I know exactly how he is doing by looking at his stats 0.143/0.262/0.321, -0.2 WAR, 77 0PS+. Not exactly good

It's not even complaining. It's just criticizing the team when they deserve to be criticized. He probably sits around a campfire with MA singing Kumbaya, even if they have long losing streaks.
