Man, I am absolutely hurting for EMJ. Had the thumb injury. Brewers picked up two MILB vets in Dalbec and Vaughn. He hasn't been the same since the combination of these events. 0-for-4, 3K batting ninth. He desperately needs a mental reset and regroup to get back to the type of player we all know he is.

EMJ heard you: 111.5mph single next at-bat.

With Vaughn most likely being recalled to the MLB squad (due to Rhys’ thumb injury), hopefully he and EMJ will both blossom.

Help me out here.  I thought if Vaughan gets called up, he'd become a free agent at the end of the year.  If he stays down the rest of the year, they keep him one more year.  Seems to me Dalbec is playing well enough to be a short term fill in.

Vaughan was called up by called up by ChiSox too early in his development.  A full year of AAA might help unleash his potential.  A good chance to be taken by a small market team?

Vaughn was already down long enough to gain an extra year of control putting him at 2 more seasons of control though not sure it really matters considering he's very likely to be non-tendered.

I don’t really understand why Stiven Cruz is throwing 60 pitches 5 days after throwing a season-high 68 pitches. Oh, and conceding an unearned run (or more) here in the 5th inning of Wisconsin’s 7-inning night cap.

I assumed that Figureoa, Root and Rund are all available, but perhaps not.

T-Rats trail 3-2.

No chance Root is available. He threw 3 innings on the 3rd. You don't see relievers pitch on 2 days rest after throwing 3 innings in the minor leagues.

Thanks, you’re probably right.

Crazy glitch in the matrix had the box score show Seppings (64 pitches 3 days ago) enter for Cruz, but now it’s switched to Rund. Welcome back, Aaron!

K, double, walk, mound visit…

Then Seppings did come in and pitch the 7th inning, with Beloit hitters thankfully swinging as he only managed 4 strikes in 11 pitches (fly out, walk, 2 ground outs).

T-Rats trail 5-2. Cruz conceded 3, Rund 2.

T-Rats down to their final 3 outs, with Tayden. Luiyin and Blayberg due up.

Oh my. Tayden singles on the 7th pitch. Luiyun draws a full count walk. Blayberg doubles a run home.

T-Rats cut it to 5-3 with runners on 2nd and 3rd, nobody out and the top of the order up. Let’s win!!

Jadher’s sac fly ties the game 5-5, but thy intentionally walk Hedbert and then Baez lines out to 2nd base.

Off to extra innings in Grand Chute…

Nice. Seppings starts the 8th (1st extra) inning with a full count walk, but the next 2 Beloit batters swing at 2 of the next 3 pitches: GIDP, ground out.

Still 5-5. Yhoswar, Tayden and Luiyun up with the Manfred Man on 2nd base.

Yhoswar 1-0 line out. Tayden 3-1 ground out. Luiyin full count K (time out violation).

On to the 9th (2nd extra) inning. And we finally get to see Jeferson Figueroa. So no mystery to solve on available pitching depth.

Figueroa comes thru with 2 Ks and a pop out, but an errant pick-off throw, HBP and throwing error by Blayberg (on a steal of 2nd base) allow the Manfred Man in.

Down 6-5, we’ve got Blayberg, Eduardo and Blake due up, with Luiyin on 2nd base.

Eduardo single to left. Burke sac fly to right ties it. Eduardo caught stealing with Jadher at the plate.

On to the 10th inning…

Atta boy, Jeferson: ground out, K swinging, walks Colby Shade on 8 pitches (on base all 5 PAs), line out to center.

Still 6-6: Jadher, Hedbert, Baez due up with Burke on 2nd base.

Let’s walk this thing off and end the week with a 2-game winning streak, Wisconsin!

Jadher singles to open the frame, then scores 3 batters later on a Yhoswar grounder to 3rd base. That’ll work!

Nice 7-6 win for the Timber Rattlers in 10 innings, coming back from a 5-2 deficit in the 7th (scheduled final inning) and a 6-5 deficit in the 9th.

You could legit argue (quite easily, I might add) it was the best performance by a Brewers starter all year. Absolutely electric. From the jump. Closing out by touching 96 mph. It was surreal.

Can't wait to watch some of it tonight.

High-A Timber Rattlers host Beloit for a doubleheader today, needing a sweep to even this week’s series 3-3

Sounds can capture this week’s home-and-away series 4-2 with a win today at Memphis

@Ro Mueller - you ask and they both deliver 😃

Biloxi was so close to making it a perfect organization day in the W-L section, with bases loaded and only 1 out and a 4-2 deficit. Restituyo sac fly for a 4-3 deficit. And Lara with a single that the 1B bobbles, and Vargas, I mean what are you doing, strays to far off 3rd and is thrown out for the final out. So instead of bases juiced for Boeve to be the hero, it's a 1 run loss that Biloxi would love to have back. KC Hunt ran into some trouble (based on box score didn't watch the earlier innings), and 2 on 1 out situation in the bottom of the 8th where they failed to get in a run. Sooo close.

Nice job by the T-Rats hanging touch with pitching in the first, and getting some of those precious base hits with runners on base in the second for a come from behind victory.

And I will top this day off watching some of the big league game. Some guy was just called up from Nashville you say, and pitched pretty good game. Hmmm so I see he didn't pitch in the majors or minors at all last year, and only had a few sporadic starts in high A and then AAA  this year ... must be some Indy league depth pitcher I guess 😉

Yeah, having Nestor; Henderson; Tobes and Patrick just sitting in the wings is such a wonderful complement of starters the Crew have at their disposal.

OH my. Assuming health (hoping Nestor's soreness is just expected and he can continue his rehab), that is :
MIL: Peralta, Woodruff, Quintana, Miz, Priester (and some day Cortes - and a 6 man rotation for a stretch???)
AAA: Cortes*, Patrick, Henderson, Meyers, and Crow, along with Stalling/Zimmerman if needed.

That T-Rats nightcap was thrilling. Great comeback to tie it, then they basically deserved to lose (Alastre boehead K, two utterly stupid throwing errors), then they redeemed themselves. I did not have high hopes for Figueroa in that spot, but his pitching (as distinct from throwing to bases) was outstanding.
