The DSL Brewers are facing from the 2025 class. Both Dustin Mayorquin and Joan Peña have no issues with strikeouts in the early goings. One of the few takeaways we have is "can you get strikeouts" and "can you keep walks down" and both have done admirably in that sense.

Spencer has talked about Peña recently but here's some ore-season refresher on his Mayorquin video/Prospect Tilt

Oh look! Tarazona having yet another day at the dish. Man, this youngster pops nearly every time he is on the field. 4th SB. Successful back pick pick-off at 1B. 2 BB. Hard not to stay excited here.

Also, Antunez realistically is starting to simmer. BA up to 0.208. Hit his 8th double. DSL Cervezeros Azules are really coming on of late. They lead 6-0. Top of 6th in a 7-inning hame.

As Jake pointed to above, Mayorquin did the heavy lifting here. 4.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 7 K. Zesty!!

Fenelon, on the other hand did not heat up after very briefly sitting on the Mendoza Line. BA back down to 0.185. 0-for-3, 3 K today - woof.

None the less, with a run apiece scored over the past two innings - including here in the 6th, the Gold lead the Stros 2-1. This is a 9-inning tilt. Lotttta runway left

That DSL Gold game ended up being rather exciting (as far as box score watching goes). They led 5-1 much of the way, had 3 errors to allow 4 runs to score, then won it in the 9th.

Alexander Frias delivered a 2-out, 2-run hit for a 7-5 lead. But he exited with the game 7-6, a runner on third and 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. Hope he’s okay.

I don’t think I’ll be posting lineups tonight. In transit with awful internet. Enjoy the games!

Let's get the ugly out of the way right away...

Biloxi losing 6-0 top of five and getting no hit.

Wisco was getting shutout and one hit through three innings, but have got a little action going bottom four with a double from Jadher Areinamo, Hedbert Perez walk and Juan Baez loading the bases for a Tayden Hall sac fly to cut it down to a 3-1 deficit.

Mudcats trailing 5-3 heading to bottom nine.

Jayden Dubanewicz was victim to some bad luck with four unearned runs (& one earned) over six frames with 8 H | 0 BB | 5 K. Ethan Dorchies has followed with three scoreless frames of 1 H | 1 BB | 5 K work.

Luis Pena (single, double) and Eric Martinez (HR, double) have done most of the damage for the offense with Gery Holguin, Reece Walling, and Martinez due up bottom nine trying to walk it off.

Sounds tied 4-4 heading to top nine.

Chad Patrick pitched six innings with 2 R | 5 H | 3 BB | 7 K in his return to AAA. Blake Holub followed with a 4U3D seventh (1 BB), before Will Childers gave up the game tying two run HR in the eighth.

Tyler Black and Jeferson Quero have each homered for Nashville (Black singled too) while Drew Avans has chipped in a single and double.

Mudcats go final with the 5-3 loss.

While we're consolidating bad news, Blake Perkins just donned the golden sombrero with his fourth strikeout of the evening.

Yeah, looks like after tonight he is up to 27.1 IP with 15 H | 8 BB | 36 K since being promoted to AA.

Biloxi now has 1 hit and McDougal is out of the game

Hardin really struggled tonight. Been tough going in Biloxi with the injuries to the lineup too. Would be nice to get Pratt and Adams back and maybe a promotion from A+ to help out

Zona Crew leading 8-5 heading to bottom three.

Twelve of the thirteen runs have scored with two outs.

Adamczewski (two singles, walk), Jorge Quintana (single, triple), Demetrio Nadal (single, double, four RBI), and Engel Paulino (single, walk, two steals) among the early stand outs.

Mound visit turned into a new pitcher and Frederi Montero came through with an RBI single.

Luis Corobo liked the look of that so he knocked an RBI single of his own.

All nine batters have a hit (& four have two) with one out (& the bases loaded) bottom three.

Welp, Quezada is responsible for a 7-spot. Yikes. 12-12 game.

As they say on the mean streets of Maryvale…Complex Gonna Complex.

Luckily a double dose of two baggers from Engel Paulino & Handelfry walked it off for the Zona Crew by a score of Baker’s Dozen to Regular Dozen.
