I'm wondering about average attendance. I went for the first time last Friday. Watching on TV, it looks like there are always plenty of seats available. Walking up, all they had was grass seating left minutes before first pitch. Over 6000 announced. It was a special event night, so does that explain it, or do they always sell that well?

I've personally never been, I live in NC and within 30 mins of Zebulon for the Mudcats

I live about 5 minutes from the stadium(and don't attend as often as I should) but the games are usually pretty close to sold out on Friday's/Saturdays/Sundays. Weekdays there are a lot more open seats but the attendence is still decent; especially with all the new amenities that have opened at the stadium in the last couple of years.

I was a little surprised, not only by the attendance, but the concession prices. Low level minor league talent on the field, yet major league beer prices. Still a good time. The overall production of the game was bigger than I expected too.

The Trats were bought by Diamond Baseball Holdings(who apparently own 43 other minor league teams) earlier this year and the article had a comment about the "bells and whistles" of the in game experience improving so they must be living up to it. Neuroscience field is a fun little stadium.

Its been about 10 years since I had been to a major league game, and I had never attended a minor league game before. My family just returned from vacation which include both our first game at  AmFam and then a few days later in Appleton. Baseball in general has really made an obvious effort to make going to a game an event, much more than just going to a game. The nonstop music clips, the special announcements, the short activities, trivia, celeb lookalikes, crowd shots etc  type stuff on the big screens in between innings, the amusement park type things....it's really a lot to take in. Easy to see how it draws in more casual fans which is what baseball needs.

For Chicken Tenders and Fries, it's $10 down here. The catfish sandwich is 10 for fish and bread. Hoping Wilson is cheaper!

I'll be at the game tomorrow 8/14 to check out Made and Peña & apparently Andrew Fischer's organizational debut as well?! Can't wait!
