I know he's been awful with the Red Sox... but I also remember how nasty he was with the Dodgers...and of course how the Brewers get the most out of pitchers.

Today would be the last day. Any chance we wait until after the game and try and pick him up, even if it's just to add to the BP with Megill and Grant Anderson out?

I know it'd be asking a lot, but... I think he could help a team out, throwing out of the pen he can just be more of a sinker, slider pitcher? The two pitches that still grade out reasonably well?

Phillies picked him up

Ahh...wonder if that was a block or a hedge against Wheeler?

Or... just depth, but he got close.

Even though Buehler hasn’t looked like his old self lately, the Brewers do have a knack for getting more out of pitchers. If he’s open to a bullpen role and can focus on his best stuff, he might be worth a low-risk pickup.

Yeah, I was thinking on the 31st, the last day someone would be eligible for the post-season roster, it'd make sense, but the Phillies picked him up before we could.

Didn't this clown make fun of the idea of somebody signing with Milwaukee a few years back? I'll pass, considering he's not good anymore.

I wouldn't mind Buehler as an offseason minor league deal, I agree there could be some upside as a reliever. That way our people have some time to work on things with him. However at this point in the year (or even a couple weeks ago) it is kind of useless.

Yeah after the Brewers were checking in on Justin Turner and he signed with LAD for 2/$32 mil in '21, Buehler put out some tweet laughing at the idea of him signing with Milwaukee.  Brewers went on to get similar production at 3B over those 2 years from Luis Urias, Jace Peterson and Mike Brosseau for about $27 million less dollars.

... this is the same team that brought in Fedde. I'd venture a guess we tried to bring Buehler in, but he signed with Philly...

1.04 ERA with the Phillies, albeit a small sasmple size, but Buheler or Fedde? He's been just fine, but... again, this was an idea a month ago when he would still have some utility to the Brewers. He's got none at this point.

We don't have to vote on this since... he signed with the Phillies. 26 days ago, it became a moot point.
