I remember that one time before the Brewers were 25-28 Carlos Rodriguez pitched

He was abused & asked to pitch again after a two hour plus rain delay … ended up on the IL for several weeks

There aren't many teams that would have given Ortiz 500 ab this year. It's pretty remarkable given he's been one of the worst offensive players in the league.

It seems to have worked for us.

If the goal is to make the playoffs. The goal is to win a world series so story is unwritten. I think it will not be overcome come playoff time. A choice will have to be made.

I would say the goal is to do both, and one has to happen before the other.

Sure. The question is did they do it because of him or in spite of. I'm going with the latter. My opinion

More than a bit frustrating. Churio is 6 for his last 49 with 2 RBIs. Lots of Ks.

ChOurio

Ok who am I thinking of……

I thought the Brewers drafted a hitter named Nick Martinez that became a pitcher. (After not making mlb as a Brewer) Thought it was this guy but it isn’t. Not finding any other Nick Martinez’s

If Yelich could play LF every day it would open up the DH spot for Bauers/Vaughn, but he can't.  The lineup decisions with this group are deceptively tricky.

Why can't he?  The grueling part of the season is over.  I see no reason why Yelich couldn't play a full series in the playoffs in LF.

However, I am not on the Bauers train.  He is who he is, and the week between now and the playoffs will probably turn him into the pumpkin we know he really is.

Durbin has not been good lately. Lots of guys that have cooled considerably since August.

Yeah and that's a bit concerning

And he went and REDEEMED himself!

He stayed in the zone, mixed speeds with his change and slider, then sped it up with a 94 mph 4 seamer on or near the black. Effective.
