True or not I think once again Brewer fans would, at least initially, be disappointed in the return. Keep him and win this year!

If Brewers fans are “ initially disappointed “ in that return then the trade would probably work out very well for us……🤷‍♂️

If there is a strike and a cap is agreed upon with added revenue sharing who’s to say the Brewers won’t be able to afford FP at age 32 ish. I’m leaning towards keeping him,

He would be looking for a long term commitment. Would we want to sign Freddy Peralta to a 5yr deal into his late 30s?

Freddy won’t turn 30 until June…..so a 5 year deal would take him through age 35 so not late 30s.

Still not sure Brewers would do it but as KC  points out there are all kind of possible outcomes after a lockout. In the NBA now they have a maximum length on contracts for example.

I interpreted this as we keep him this year, next year gets locked out, then he is a FA going into the 2028 season (his age 32) season ... and with added revenue sharing we could possibly afford to give him a deal then.

Top 30 prospect and a high quality pitching prospect for 1 year of Freddy seems fair………I don’t view the Myers inclusion as anything that significant.
