Hall with a little room for error would have been fine.

That last walk was straight up on Murphy.

Yeah.    Never understood waiting until bases loaded.    It’s not right

What is Murph doing not hitting Bauers and Turang there? Can’t save them for the 9th against Chapman. I don’t understand why he’s not pinch hitting after stacking these lineups for the lefty starter.

The philosophy is purportedly "win today" but a couple of times already this season Murphy has made decisions that seem more focused on development than maximizing the odds of winning that particular game.  IMO that is 100% what he was doing with Mis when he lost command tonight.

And I agree with that to a point early in the year but young tall flame throwers tend to loose it quickly when they do.

William has called a really scared game against his brother tonight. They haven't come inside a single time. Everything is away, away, away which is exactly what Willson wants.

True.  I don't necessarily have a problem with letting young pitchers work through it but it's a balance.  If you're going to pull him at some point I'm not sure why the line is once he walks the bases full instead of 2 on if there is still a game you can win.  But he may have also had a pitch number in his head as being the line instead of the game situation.  I would have pulled him earlier, but it is what it is.

Not sure William has any idea what the zone actually is.  He might never win a challenge.

Seems to be a Wisconsin sports coaching theme. They all suck at it.

Pretty disappointed in the way we pitched Contreras tonight. He challenged us and we backed down.

I said the same thing. Not a single pitch inside to him today. Pitched him exactly how he wants to be pitched.

It’s too bad that Jett Williams isn’t making a very strong case for an early promotion. Rengifo and Matos aren’t going to help us win baseball games.
