I've mostly liked the way Yoho has looked since the callup. But we know there's a 'trust' thing on this team and I'm not surprised Kuhnel was called on. It's the same mindset that kept Pratt in AAA maybe longer than some liked, and what's kept a couple of the people who contributed in the 10th from being thrown under the bus.

That, and Jett Williams hitting .219 lol.

Kuhnel closed games this year too.   I don’t mind them going to him in that spot

I really think that would have been a completely different game if Mitchell hadn't chased 3-1 in the 2nd inning then looked at strike three the next pitch. I feel like Singer was ready to completely fall apart if Mitchell walked to load the bases.

Agreed. I'll give Mitchell credit for going from arguably one of the worst ABs of the game to a terrific one in the 10th, but definitely left Singer off the hook there.

What are you saying, we buried Woodruff to limit his innings?  After Woody’s last time out I thought his career was done for sure.

Guess I am just a tad bitter about his injury that popped up last September at the very wrong time.  And he had a whole off-season to completely heal up.   He pitched like a boss tonight.   Just doesn't make sense.

I did not expect that tonight, the changeup especially looked brilliant. If he can at least be the guy we saw at the end of last year (before injury) he will be huge. Hopefully Henderson is getting close to some rehab starts.

Misi, Harrison, a healthy Woody and Henderson is a playoff rotation. Gasser and Drohan have looked really good as 5/6 starters with 3/4 upside still. Throw in maybe Hardin or Sproat finding some consistency (was bad last year to start the year and really good the 2nd half) and the rotation will look better than we envisioned to start the year.

Yeah

He's a one inning guy. Rarely ever pitches multiple innings. He's only gone more than 3 outs 5 times since the start of the 2024 season.

He almost always pitches one inning as the closer. He entire program is geared toward that.

Sorry I watched the whole game but stepped out in the 9th, and for some strange reason I thought Uribe went back out in the 9th.

Should have checked the box score!
