Not sure I have ever seen so many soft hits finding grass or coming up as a hit. These aren't even that bad pitches.

Unless JoJo becomes some sort of bullpen ace for us, pretty meh return.

I forgot about him.  Thought it was supposed to be "a couple of weeks" before he was back.  Looks like a bullpen on Friday, then a rehab assignment so it'll basically be a month.

The Cubbies losing again today is a good thing with all there cheap hits by the Mariners.

Yeah.   A sweep would have been bad.   Going to have to punt this one.   I wonder what pitcher is going to have to take a dfa after throwing his arm out

maybe may

Sometimes pitchers have off nights. May's been pretty good so far. He and the staff will try to get it figured out. Let's hope this is his only bad one.

He’s had one singular really good start for us after a whole mixed bag of good and bad for the Cardinals this season.

May should probably get one more start before he is bumped behind Drohan. Just super meh. He doesn’t miss bats. No whiffs at all and doesn’t have much composure.

I think you can go get him now.

Why you might as well keep him in to eat up some innings

What did May do to the baseball gods before the game?

"Baseball gods" rationalization would work better if there also weren't hard hit balls, too many walks, or if there were any swings and misses.

Has there ever been back to back 22-0 games played between the same two teams?

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

He had plenty of good luck in his first outing with us. The baseball gods didn’t force him to be erratic and walk two batters in the first and come inside too far on Arozarena in the 2nd,

May’s ERA and FIP have actually rose since coming here. We got destroyed in that trade. No argument will be heard seriously..  10 Earned runs over 15 innings. BUST

If we're not ready to bag it, it's time for a new pitcher.

The odds of scoring 8 runs in any game are slim, so you can probably go ahead and bag it.

That's what I'm thinking, but it looks like we're bringing in Patrick.

Cardinal fans were laughing about it then and  are still laughing about it now.
