You actually think the k rate for these next three games has any effect? No players are carrying over strikeouts a week after the season ends

I believe Murph knows his players super well and picks his spots for the public stuff. It's not like he does it that often compared to years ago. And given how often he's been chided for not doing those things it just makes way more sense to me that he's actually really good at the people side and is using that info we just don't have.

That's why the real fire he is playing with is letting Yelich get away with playing regardless of production. The entire clubhouse knows he's not getting it done so Murphy looks bad being Mr. Accountable with Yelich not being held to that standard.
