By the way: the game that Schroeder was talking about was August 9, 1988. Nieves started, and was pulled with one out in the ninth with the game tied. Clemens struck out 6, including Meyer twice.

 

First pitch of the bottom of the ninth, Meyer hit the homer.

 

Oh, also: Schroeder never faced Clemens in his career.
