Tonight it's the Battle of Futility.

In one corner, it's the last place Brewers, losers of 11 in a row.

In the other corner, we have the Pirates, losers of 3 straight and 9 of 12.

Let's get ready to bummmmmmbllllllllllllllllllllllle!

Ben's gonna end this streak - I guarantee it. Proceed to rip me for that, but I have the proverbial "good feeling" about this game. Go Crew!

Lineups:

I have to say, given the players available, I completely agree with every aspect of this lineup (although batman will obviously prefer Gint instead of Hallhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif That's a tossup I guess).

I have a feeling we are going to break out today!

Ned got pi$$ed yesterday and they had a 45 minute meeting today before hand.

Let's break out and get 8 runs today!

I think ben is just nerves because look at his numbers...

His ERA is up to 9.47. By now, his nerves are getting on mine.

The "Steve Woodard" comparison is looking more and more appropriate, IMO. He can be effective when he has good control of his pitches....but when he doesn't, he gets hammered.

Chad Moeller is making a *huge* difference tonight. I know many of us had noted in the past that we felt perhaps Gary Bennett wasn't calling a good game for Lil' Ben, and I think we were right. He still got hit tonight, and I'm sure he'll get hit in the future, but the way he is pitching this time is night and day from his previous outings. Lots of good changeups, lots more curveballs, and the fastball used more as a setup pitch than an out pitch.

Solid.

Nice of Mr. Fogg to throw at Hendrickson. Dork.

Moeller is a lot better all around as a catcher than Bennett. He's a lot better defensively and he knows how to call a good game.

What happened with Fogg and Hendrickson? I missed it.

When Ben was batting, Fogg threw a pitch behind him.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Ward was hit by a Hendrickson pitch in the AB after he homered. Ben had also hit Jason Bay in the first inning.

Just saw the replays on FSN, no way Bay and Ward were hit intentionally. Fogg looked like an idiot throwing behind Hendrickson.

Great, great job by Hendrickson so far. Enough of the Gary Bennett experience, Chad Moeller should catch everyone on the staff except for Santos at this point.

Yost sure loved to have pitchers fail at moving the runner over in teh 5th or the 6th. Make sure yoyu save that bullpen, Yost!

Bah?

You would have PH for Henrickson there??

Not me...

Clearly Ben just can't cut it up here and needs more work at Indy.

Can we stop those statements now? Please?
