NY Times Article: Bernie's Beer Mug

I am not sure if you need to register to read this, but the NY Times has an article about fans trying to bring back Bernie Brewer's beer mug and chalet..

I'm all for bringing the barrel and chalet back, or maybe better, putting an updated version of those things in. You could still have the lights for Uecker's HR call too. The slide is just lame and kind of boring.

Am I the only one who finds it slightly ironic that this argument is coming six years after Miller Park opened? And I haven't heard any complaints about it as is?

 

Personally, I liked the beer mug, but I don't really mind Bernie's Slide, so I don't really care what comes of it, neither is really a bad option to me. I just find it kinda funny that the controversy seems to be starting as the Brewers become more popular...

 

But hey, making the NY Times is pretty cool!

In my mind, the ugliest part of Miller Park is Bernie's Dugout. Theres a gazillion metal bars everywhere that looks bad, and the yellow slide is very lame. I definitely want the mug to come back, no doubt about it.

Okay so why are the Brewers only thinking about it? He's basically saying Bernie's Dugout sucks, I have what the fans want and I'll give it to you.
