Nice hope this is true.

The barrel man one should be really awesome looking.

Hopefully they pick Polish as the sausage. I am 50% Polish and would buy a few extras to decorate my room with.

It's an awesome list but I thought Cordero was a shoe-in for a bobblehead day. Zero pitcher bobbleheads ... I thought they always left one for a pitcher.

Barrelman is sweet though. I would've used Cordero instead of another Fielder.

It might be kind of hard to have a bobble of a player that potentially may not even be with the team in 2008. I'd say there would have been a greater chance of Suppan getting a bobble than Coco at this point.

That is one sweet potential lineup. The prospect of a Corey Hart bobble has brought cheers from 2/3 of the staff in my office (including me).

How dreamy do you think they can make a J.J. bobble look? http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/smile.gif

Corey Hart is going to be like 10ft tall lolz

I would definitely go for the Braun & Hart bobbleheads.

By the time Cordero is signed, either by the Brewers or someone else, there would still be plenty of time to order the bobbles. Obviously if we don't sign him we wouldn't make one, but what I'm saying is there is no point to making the decision now when you can wait it out. It doesn't take that long to get them. The franchise leader in saves in a season should get a bobble, especially over a guy who's already had one.

Seriously how many Prince bobbles are there? Two Beloits, a Huntsville, the High School one by forever, the Big Head by forever, the Brewers home jersey and the retro, and now another one, c'mon.

Besides, I don't think there is any way we don't re-sign Cordero. They need him. If he leaves, the team will have taken a major step backwards.

mgs,

this is a tentative list that wasn't formally released, these may not be all the finalists, cordero is not a guarantee for a Brewer next year, so it would be not smart to say they are going to do a bobble of him now, if he isn't under contract with the team.

As far as the Prince goes, do you not think that people would be interested in that. I can't see many fans saying, geez, another Fielder bobble, well, I'm not going...

Of course not, people are interested in it.

I still think that there needs to be a maniac, or a jack z. bobble.

Does anyone else think the Brewers would be better off with only 1-2 bobbles a year? I know they do well in attendance on the bobble days (pretty much sell them all out), but the bobbles are just starting to get old. I collect them, and have at least one of every one of them, but there are just so many it's getting out of hand.

We're too the point now of repeating players over and over, and have bobbleheads of guys that were hardly with the team long enough to warrant them. The bobbleheads (IMO) would be much more exciting and special if there was only 1 or 2 per year, which would make getting them much more exciting.

Take 2008 for example, assuming these are all true (Braun, Hardy, Hart, Fielder again), we've basically covered our ENTIRE core of the team in the last two years (Weeks, Hall, Prince in 2007) and will basically have no choice but to start re-using players again within 1-2 years. And as much as I like Prince, how many different bobbleheads of him do we really need?? If they only had 2 this year for instance, you still have Hardy and Hart for 2009, Yo and ? for 2010 and so on. There would be no need for repeats...

It just seems like the Brewers could do a much better job both with the number of bobbleheads they distribute and the players that they are choosing. One last thought, does anyone else find it odd that they haven't had a Ned Yost bobblehead? With all the love for the older players and the fact that he's our current manager (and could actually make sense in the retro uniform), wouldn't you think that he would be on the radar for a bobble in 2008?

The 2008 renewal information for season ticket holders (mailed late last week) includes the dates of the all fan giveaways for next season - all Sundays:

April 6 (vs. SF)

June 1 (vs. HOU)

June 22 (vs. BAL)

July 6 (vs. PIT)

Aug 24 (vs. PIT)

Sep 7 (vs. SD)

It doesn't say what each giveaway is, but it would make sense for it to be the bobbleheads.

i would also prefer 2 bobbleheads per year and then other stuff. Back in the day we had umbrella night, clock night, etc. Now its just bobbleheads and hats, no creativity at all. Those old school promotions were cool and actually used instead of the bobbleheads that sit on my shelf in my room. I love them and get atleast one of each, but I agree its going to be hard to keep on making new ones of players that deserve a bobblehead.

they don't need promos for fans anymore, people will come anyway,

That would be a terrible PR move. Even people who don't attend a single game, people who are not even fans would hear about it on the news and suddenly the Brewers become "the team that screwed the fans". You run the risk of creating a tidal wave of resentment.

I also disagree that "people will come anyway." You and I might continue to attend, but I know for a fact I would not be brining my kids to as many games. Suddenly families of 4 become groups of 2 on Sundays.

i remember trying to get my hands on those early bobbleheads that were 14 and under. i'm glad the team realized there were thousands of us grown-up children walking around unhappy that we didnt get our toys. then they come out with 18 bobblehead days & the fans respond very well to them. i'd be surprised if they stuck with only six.

This site is getting crazy...If the Brewers would say that they have decided to not have SGA on bobbleheads, there would be complaints. If the Brewers have bobblehead giveaways totaling 22 or more, there would be complaints that there are too many.
