Yovani Gallardo interview

I hope this wasn't posted anywhere but here is a link to an interview with Yovani Gallardo.

 

I didn't know he was married and had a son.

Nice interview, although his "and that" is "I mean".

 

All reports on Gallardo I've heard is that he's a real nice kid, and it shows in the interview.

And those fastballs they showed just exploded out of his hand and that second one looked like it had some sink on it.

 

I'm psyched to go down to Nashville and watch him this year.

Seems like he is really level headed which is always nice to see in young blue-chip prospects.

 

A little more work with the communications people could clean up his "I mean" problem. He seems to have all his cliches down.

BP came out with their projections

 

Gallardo comparables: Jake Peavy, Rich Harden, Kyle Davies, Chad Billingsley

 

They gave him a stuff rating of 20, better than Hughes and Bailey. Clemens got a 23 rating for comparison sakes.
