In what way? I didn't catch all of it, but wasn't the gist of it that you don't have to be super tall to be a successful pitcher?

Melvin and Roenicke Get Extensions

Exactly. There are always going to be people out there who want a different manager.. until they watch every game he manages and then will want someone else because that manager brought in the wrong pitcher, started the wrong player, etc. Not sure how many managers took the Brewers to an NLCS before RR (I think it was one) but apparently RR doesn't get a pass. I don't really understand it. Would you rather see Taylor Green get some more starts? Sure. Every team has decisions like this to be made but we just don't see it like we do with the Brewers because we pay so close attention. RR is doing fine. He's got the team on his side and by all accounts he's got his players' backs. He doesn't trash them in the media.. he stays calm yet isn't totally clueless like many thought Yost was. Remember wanting Bobby V? He lost his team in about the first two or three weeks. No thanks. *edit for color - I know it was only one, and we all do, too. -
And costing waaaay less this year and over the next 9 seasons after this one. Granted, over those 9 years Pujols is likely to put up better numbers.. but I'm still enjoying seeing him struggle. He was part of that St. Louis conspiracy. Players are way better in St Louis for some reason. Of course, Pujols could have been great anyway.. but it should make you think..

Gonzalez Torn ACL, Likely Done for Year

I can't believe it's gotten so bad that sides are being chosen for either Yuni or Izturis. -
That call, or that type of pitch to a right handed hitter has been called a ball. Same spot of the plate, just on the other side. If it's a strike, call it both sides of the plate all night long. I don't mind big zones, but just keep the calls consistent.

This ump is terribly inconsistent.. which is the absolute worst.

Really nice work by both Hart and Lucroy this inning.

This IS ugly.

Random MLB News And Discussion 2012

I think Jayson Werth just broke his left wrist. Sliding catch that looked pretty brutal. -
Has Tim Dillard had a clean inning this year?
-
Uhm, where did that miss?
-
If Morgan played for any other team there's no doubt he'd be my least favorite player.
-
How was that ball not caught?
-
Umm, shouldn't that be saved for when they're actually at-bat? I was wondering if my MLBtv feed was a half inning slow or something.
-
Pretty close. Good pitch - could have gone either way.
-
There's a hard hit ball by Weeks. That was a nice swing.. finally. Way to go, Rick. Now comes the fun game to see if they can get two consecutive hits. *Edit - well, there's the second hit. Too bad it didn't leave the infield. *Edit 2 - Wow, Braun really can't run that well right now.
-
He was in the right spot, he played the carom off the wall perfectly. He didn't get his glove down to field it, or picked his glove up too soon.
-
And with one pitch, the Giants do what the Brewers couldn't do -- drive in a runner with less than two outs.
-
Corey really needs to understand just who IS batting behind him if that was his idea to bunt.
-
Rickie's at bat wiggle has really, really slowed down from when he first came up. I hardly notice it anymore. I do agree that he might want to consider raising his hands up a bit as they seem pretty low and it might prevent him from getting to a high'ish fastball that's still in the strike zone.
-
I couldn't be any less excited to watch this team this weekend, especially if Braun is out for any of the games.

You forgot getting shut out by Jeff Suppan..
