  1. Because that 8 hitter had 3 extra base hits last night, including a game winning homerun. The pitcher was a much easier hitter to face than Barajas.
  2. I like how they showed Gomez highlights (there's only a handful) and one of them is him hitting a homerun at Minnesota. He hit the ball, then started walking to first base. I guess the phrase "Act like you've done it before" doesn't quite work here, but that was downright awful. Weren't the Brewers getting spanked in that game, and his homerun didn't really make a difference in the outcome of the game? Needless showboating. *Edit - Theriot and Lilly? Great.
  3. Other players have limited understanding of English and have progressed better than Gomez.
  4. Hopefully Bush can keep these classy guys down tonight and the offense can get going. I really like this lineup.
  5. I guarantee this thread gets locked. Any information you need on Dylan Covey can be found on jsonline.com.
  6. I missed that Braun played yesterday, I thought today was his first game back.
  7. I really like the looks of that lineup. Plus, it's great to see Braun back in there. I'm excited for this one tonight.
  8. Gamel's numbers have improved greatly within the past few weeks. I think that's why people say he's "raking".
  9. Which top of the line impact pitcher do you propose Melvin should sign?
  10. So, in other words, nothing like Hart's? Unless you're considering same amount of money per year, and if that's the case the total would be much higher (if Weeks were signed to a few extra years).
  11. He's never been a good player in MLB. He might play some D in CF, but his bat isn't catching up.
  12. This is what I am so frustrated with about Gomez, as many of you are too. He seems to have no approach at the plate whatsoever. If you want to be a power hitter, fine. But for the love of God, go up there looking for a specific pitch. He's hacking wildly at anything and everything. He just seems so freakin' clueless that it makes me want to pull my hair out, I really hope that he doesn't see regular PT next year in CF for the Brewers.
  13. Awesome. Yo says take that bunt, Ken Macha. I also was wondering why Inglett is batting sixth. Only thing I could think of was to have the lineup go left, right, left.
  14. But is KC is 11 1/2 games out of the race. Are you suggesting that KC would want Corey Hart to trade him to Detroit? I thought they were looking to move DeJesus to a contender until he got hurt. Them giving up something worthwhile to get Hart doesn't seem like a good idea to me. That's why I'm confused.
  15. Why would KC be interested in Corey Hart? Unless I'm missing something, that just doesn't make a whole of sense to me.
  16. It's sort of a sad state of affairs when you hope your favorite team can pull to within 6 games of .500.
  17. Here's a link. You don't have to read far. I admire your effort and desire, Jim. But at times, it feels as if the Brewers are forcing this man to go out and hurt his body more as if we have zero options for CF. Carlos Gomez is who everyone thought he would be. Maybe management feels Cain just isn't ready yet, which could be true. I'm just glad Cain is getting regular PT rather than rot on the bench.
  18. Maybe it's because there's a tough lefty on the mound? It is interesting, but I'm not making much of it at this point. I really do love the trade deadline.
  19. James Dean didn't hit a tree. Actually, the accident he was in wasn't his fault at all. LINK
  20. Why was Gomez throwing that ball to home? There was no way he was going to throw out Guzman from where he was in CF. Throw it to the cut-off guy. Sheesh.
  21. Please don't be hurt, Corey. We need you to be healthy for potential trades.
