  1. Tough pitch for Mitchell. Not much he can do with it anyway.
  2. Someone on this offense please step up.
  3. 0-2 and you spike that and give up a run. The way tonight has gone, that is REALLY frustrating.
  4. Terrible. Is Contreras just tired or what?!
  5. Hoskins had to hold up a bit and yes, he's very slow.
  6. Power went out for me during Perkins' at bat in the first inning and I wasn't powered back on until 8:30 or so. I saw all the good stuff and none of the bad. Sitting in the dark was preferable to watching them blow a 5-run lead.
  7. Myers just keeps going. I like this guy.
  8. I missed it. Cruz must be hurt for the Pirates?
  9. Hiura reminds me a lot of the players the Brewers would've given a LOT of at-bats to in the early 2000s. High draft choice and potential and the Brewers would pick them off the scrap heap or as part of one of Doug Melvin's one player for six type of trade. We'd hope they'd find something in Milwaukee and then have maybe a nice season with homers but then they'd be junk again. This is different because it was our first round pick who flashed and then left and other teams that are going nowhere are hoping to catch lightning. Here and elsewhere, it's crazy how polarizing the overall Hiura topic can be. I don't have a ton of thoughts on it other than I figured he'd get a shot last year but then he got injured. Who knows what would've happened. No one can swing through a belt-high fastball like Hiura.
  10. Capra has been there to be a warm body until he can be DFA'ed when so and so comes off the IL. Problem is, he's been seeing way too many at bats; same with Haase. Pittsburgh gave MKE a taste of their medicine with their "starter" tonight and Murphy bit on it and batted Haase for some unknown reason. He should be seeing about one or two starts a week. Tops. To have him and Capra back-to-back in so many games is a bit of a head-scratcher other than they're just trying to get guys added rest with the break.
  11. It's not really fair because it's not entirely their fault, but having two AAA players (at best) at 8 and 9 really hurt. Would rather break it up with Monasterio in one of these spots if Haase must catch.
  12. Got them right where we want them!
  13. Anything he can give us is gravy. Just need someone to eat some innings and take their turn and hopefully turn in one or two decent starts. This is a tough place to pitch for guys in their rhythm. I'm willing to cut him a small amount of slack.
  14. I like this lineup. I would like to see Ortiz over Monasterio but I understand Murph may be nursing him a bit with his neck.
  15. I was "fine" with Frelick hitting for Chourio because it put another good defender in the vast OF. Hoskins not getting the run in was frustrating but really tonight was a typical game in Colorado. I was hoping we'd steal it but after the 10th that went out the window.
  16. Runner on 3rd and there was one out. The Brewers walked the next two hitters.
