  1. Without seeing how the rest of the offseason goes I can't say whether or not I like the deal. I will say I am excited about getting a nice young pitcher. I just don't want this to be the move of the offseason. I am more than a bit curious about this move from the Jays perspective. I wonder if Lawrie might be fast tracked for a corner OF job replacing Snider who could be heading in out in another Mega-Deal for Toronto.
  2. I'm looking for a cheap TV. I currently have a tv from the 70's that ends up glowing bright red inside if I leave it on for more than an hour. I am curious what everyone's opinion is of this TV, it's one of the Black Friday deals. Like I said I want cheap and don't need something that good. http://www.target.com/gp/...6FU&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=|B00402I6FU&CPNG=movies&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B00402I6FU&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001 It will be on sale for 298 on Black Friday with a 10$ gift card, is it a value at that price?
  3. Javier Vazquez is the name that I would be jumping for joy over. He always seems to do well in lower profile situations. Along with that I would like to see a Chris Young, Bonderman, Webb, francis, or Bedard. Off the top of my head I don't even know what order I would put them in but I'd be fine with any of them.
  4. I swear that it was 16.99 at Hot Topic. It should be close to that at Exclusive company, unless it's done on 180 Gram Vinyl then it'll probably be 20-22+
  5. Back in Black on Vinyl is also at Hot Topic, not all Hot Topic's carry records but I know the one in Appleton does, and I heard Milwaukee does too.
  6. Am I wrong in thinking that Dickerson compare's pretty well to Angel Pagan?
  7. http://www.rotoworld.com/...rt=MLB&hl=299460&id=3875 Hopefully it happens.
  8. I've actually been dreaming of a Corey Hart and Prince Fielder deal for Minor and Freddie Freeman. Freeman started out the season banged up but has been on quite hot as of late. in June he had a .923 OPS.
  9. I'm curious to see what happens with Cain now. Will he play? Will he just get in a game or two as a pinch runner? My guess is Cain won't get much time playing and he'll get sent back down when Gallardo returns. (Unless the Brewers can pull the trigger on a Hart deal in the next few days) This is just the Brewers way of trying to reward a prospect that is having a great season.
  10. http://twitter.com/ChiTribRogers/status/18308793520 That is good to hear, a Tampa trade would be awesome. They just have so many darn option's of players to acquire.

  12. http://www.rotoworld.com/...in.aspx?sport=NBA&id=873 Wow, the Bucks have acting pretty bold lately. Hammond actually has me somewhat interested in basketball.
  13. http://www.rotoworld.com/...t=NFL&Show=SKILL&id=5713 His agent say's he may end up playing baseball. He isn't ruling out football at all either.
  14. Sounds like everything went well with Jones, or at least as good as they could go. When the quote "is expected to keep both of his leg's" has to be mentioned that sure sound's like a scary accident.
  15. Hearing that Salome "still needs to continue to catch some" is good to hear. Salome's prospects would look a lot nicer if he was moved into a hybrid utility role. Backup catcher getting 1-2 starts per week. Getting him some time at RF, LF and maybe 1st base. I don't know if playing multiple roles like that would end up making things worse for him mentally.
  16. What about Conor Fisk from Grafton High School? Is he most likely going to be a tough sign or is he more of a fringe prospect? PG gave him a 9.5 in their PG Grading scale. http://www.perfectgame.or...erprofile.aspx?ID=155929
  17. Look's like it's Cody Hawn. Am I right about that? Put up some pretty nice stats. Hopefully that is him. http://www.utsports.com/s...ebl/mtt/hawn_cody00.html
  18. It looks like Miller put up much better numbers in the Bullpen so perhaps the Brewers like him as a reliever.
  19. Not that I know much but Morris seems like real nice value. When I was watching video he stuck out as a guy I thought might make some nice sense for the Brewers in round 2 or 3. Pulling him down in round 4 seems like a pleasant surprise.
  20. I'll go with my favorite player as a kid. Julio Franco, I loved him to a foolish extent. The very first baseball card I ever got was a Julio Franco card and from there on Franco was the man.
  21. Hopefully a quick question here. I ran a Fantasy Baseball League with my friends last year, casual / competitive. The only issue was teams that were "out" of it early in the season stopped logging in. This year should be more hardcore and active but I am still trying to find ways to keep people interested over the course of the season. One of the ways that I thought I could get the desired results was to have a monthly payout. Is there a Fantasy site that would be able to break 5 x 5 Points into a month by month tally? Or does anyone have any other ways to promote activity throughout a long baseball season?
  22. I've got to admit I like the signing quite a bit. Is Edmonds defense in CF still going to be passable or better? If so it will be nice to have him as a backup plan (potential platoonmate) for Gomez. I would like to keep Gerut as the 4th outfielder. I am expecting or more likely guessing that Hart and Gerut will be in a more or less platoon in RF so I'd rather not have him in CF subbing for Gomez if Gomez flops.
  23. http://www.rotoworld.com/...px?sport=MLB&id=2130 The Yankees are apparently only offering 2 million. Oakland supposedly may be able to nab him for 4-5 million. Gah, I would love to add Johnny Damon. I know he is less than adequate in the field. I don't deny that, but having Johnny Damon in the lineup instead of Corey Hart would make me very happy. Rickie Weeks Johnny Damon Ryan Braun Prince Fielder Casey McGehee Greg Zaun Alcides Escobar Carlos Gomez Having that lineup with Corey Hart getting time as the 4th outfielder would make the Brewers a potentially much more potent offense. I am a bit shocked that the market for Damon has dried up this much that he's looking at a 5-7 million dollar contract. I'd love to see the Brewers offer up a 1 year $6m with a team option for $10m. (I thought there was a damon thread around somewhere but I can't find it)
  24. Thanks for the input. I never thought about picking up clothes because they have a foolish amount of it. The registry was emptied out during the baby shower so that is out. Diapers are out because they are going with cloth diapers. (Eww) I think I will pick up a Shopko Gift Card and a picture frame. I hate giving just a gift card, I know it shouldn't seem weird but I've just got it ingrained in my head that it is to impersonal. The football is also a nice idea as a keepsake-ish thing. I may pick up something like that too.
  25. Let me preface this by saying I am horrible with things like this. I never know what is socially expected / accepted. My brother is having his first kid tonight, just called me and told me he's heading to the hospital. In the morning I'll be heading to the hospital to see him and the kid but I don't have any clue on the gifting etiquette in that situation. I should have asked around earlier than last minute but I thought I had an extra week or 2. So what would be a nice gift, or is this not a gifting situation? (Balloons and the like aren't something I'd want to give)
