  1. Thanks gypcasino & craigharmon!
  2. I just got a new lp gas grill and, being the noob at it that I am, would like to know what the "throbbing brain" of bf.net does for the propane tank. Do you buy your own and refill it somewhere? Or, do you just get the filled tank at a place and just keep exchanging the tank for a filled one? Also, what places do you recommend for getting/refilling/exchanging? If anybody has specific recommendations, I live in Hartland. Thanks in advance for your help
  3. Women - you can't live with 'em and you can't live with 'em. That is not a misprint. Ah feeeel your paaaiiin!Clinton voice> Football is still a good general anesthetic for a lot of problems. Enjoy- Aaron Rodgers Contemplates Retirement Hang in there Bucky, there are a lot of good people here willing to help - myself included.
  4. I'm with ya Series. This whole piece (I refuse to glorify it by calling it an article) may have been a bad attempt at over-the-top mock contempt, but ended up being full of real contempt. Just more drivel from a Cubs fan.
  5. Can't be it, but. . . Harold Faltermeyer? Maybe it'll at least jog somebody's memory. This one's driving me (more) nuts.
  6. One of my favorite burger recipes is as follows (all measurements estimates as I usually "eye it up") 2 lbs ground beef 1-2 tsp beef soup base one-fourth cup (approx) bread crumbs one-third lb bacon - fried but not too crispy, then diced into small pieces 1 tsp pepper dash of chili powder Just mix everything up and grill. On occasion I'll also cut up slices of cheddar cheese and form the burgers around them.
  7. My favorite series of books. I've probably read them a half-dozen times. Eventually I'll change it, sooner or later, when I feel like it. . . Man I need a lifehttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. iluvlamp's sig is totally out of place, but totally funny -" This thread is making me hungry." This thread has made me laugh so hard, my eyes watered. Am I that sad? To add: dropping depth charges, making Lincoln logs, six more weeks of winter I've got worse ones, thanks to my in-laws, but I'll leave it at that.
  9. Craig Ferguson is the funniest guy on late-night tv. His monologue last night sealed it.
  10. I sent an e-mail to a fellow sysadmin on how to run a specific command. He calls me back saying it doesn't work. After a couple minutes of over the phone troubleshooting, he tells me he put a space inside the base command. My forehead is slightly flatter and I have a headache from pounding my forehead on the desk. Thank God for the mute button.
  11. I've never had the "good fortune" to fly AA. I did fly UA once when I had no other choice and they put me through an experience almost as bad as TracyThom's. My return trip from Denver was measured in days, not hours. One great experience during a flight delay due to snow. When flying back to MKE from New York's La Guardia, all flights were delayed a few hours. We were on Midwest, who served us all pizza as the other airlines' passengers looked on.
  12. Jordanmuehl, we're both nuts then http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif. The puppy bowl has become a tradition in our residence also - yes we have kids. I liked the intros for the dogs: "Secretly snuggles with cats." Back to being off target. Sesame Street SVU? About a half year ago, Sesame St. did a parody called Special Letters Unit with dead-on muppets for the characters and the signature scene-change sound repeated ad-nauseum. I still see the muppet of Stabler when I see SVU. Now recently we've seen Luis and Gordon make appearances on SVU. Who's next, Bob or Maria?
  13. Finally gyp, you ended my day-long frustration trying to guess this one (one of the few that was familiar to me). Phew, I can sleep tonight!
  14. What I'm curious about is if the declared targeting of the Latin Kings will do any good or is it PR? My initial reaction was "awright," followed immediately by a "now what." Also, how about the judges who put these thugs on the street. The 17 yr-old on probation for armed robbery and the 21 yr-old had an ankle bracelet after killing someone - and they are known gang bangers? Holy what in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin' on here, batman!! Great, the next time the older one kills someone, at least we might know where to look. I have opinions on the timing of this, etc., but this is a good thread and I don't want to cause it to veer off the road, so to speak - if I haven't already "Stay on target, hoser."
  15. IIR - me likey your new avatar. FTJ - Don't ever change, I love reading your posts. There has got to be so many chickens in the world that if they ever rose up in a great poultry revolution, we'd be toast. "With a cluck-cluck here, a cluck-cluck there. . .:
  16. . . . or a wookiee. I'm goin' squirrely today, not only for the Packer game Sunday but for my first vacation time in over a year and a half next week.
  17. For any interested about Jimbo's post above, a link with a nice article on David Lander, aka Squiggy, of the Mariners.
  18. Listening to the host's voice on "Clean House," one of my wife's favorite shows. I now take the hint and leave the room. I also bet the blonde's vocal chords look like shredded wheat.
  19. NMF - the reverse of that is when you finish shovelling or snowblowing and the plow comes by and plugs up the driveway. I agree on the bowling alleys with too much oil. I nicknamed an alley on N 76th "Crisco Lanes" for just such reason.
  20. PayPal stinks!
  21. Cappy for Reyes straight-up? Ugh! I wouldn't. I do like the initial Rolen rumor, assuming the Cards cover some salary. EDIT for clarity of opinion, such as it is.
  22. Radman, you and me both. There are times where the day goes by in what seems like ten minutes, then there are days like today where I scour every news site I can possibly find. I also remember that FTJ doesn't mind the Beatles or Pink Floyd, but doesn't have any of their records. Yeah, I'm bored.
  23. I bought my wife a Lexus for Christmas one year. She ripped it off the cardboard and let my son play with it.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif Butchered versions of Trans Siberian on the radio really frosts my windows. The little troll guy that advertises Oxyclean and other stuff. Can't hit mute fast enough. I've got more, trust me, but I can't think of them right now.
