  1. 87 wins might take the division this year. Unless they go like 7 and 23 over the next month, the Brewers ain't selling.
  2. I hope that the Cardinals get him!
  3. I'd be interested in the 'metrics' that Dallas is using to calculate a projected contract for an aging pitcher with a 90 mph fastball that had a WHIP approaching 1.4 last year. If he sticks to his guns, he's not going to throw another pitch in MLB, and if he thinks the QO is handcuffing him, he's delusional.
  4. Exactly. They dogged it all year and it's not as simple as flipping the switch in the postseason Yes, they swept an undermanned Indiana team, but they have no answer for Giannis. None. Bucks sweep.
  5. Bucks sweep or possibly goes 5 if Boston has a hot shooting game.
  6. Unreasonable demands early on (Wasn't he looking for 100 million?) have cost Kimbrel lots of money. He's overplayed his hand so far at this point, I think he'll be lucky to get eight figures for the rest of this season.
  7. Shields would probably give up 50 homers pitching a full season w/ half his games at Miller Park.
  8. Keuchel is not a needle mover to me, and I'm not sure that I'd even want him on a one year deal. I say save the money with an eye on acquiring an arm in June or July if necessary.
  9. Since we are taking this past players: Radio:. Uke/Pat Hughes TV: Rock/BA (by a nose over Matty V) PA:. Bob Betts
  10. I don't see much love for Don Money. He's kind of forgotten now (George Scott also for that matter, but he was a good hand for the Brewers for the better part of a decade. I'd probably put him at third and slide Molitor to second My infield would be some iteration of the late 70's team (including Coop and Robin).
  11. Outside of one big year, Gonzalez hasn't really been anything special. I am glad they went with Moustakas who is superior defensively and a better bat.
  12. Please God no. No more Suppans.
  13. I hope that the Brewers aren't in on him at any cost/duration. He allowed tons of baserunners last year. Hard pass.
  14. Exactly. No outfield depth anymore and both this and the Santana trade were massive sell lows with underwhelming return. I don't like how this off-season is playing out at all. Love what Stearns has done to this point, but it seems like Dean Taylor has been running the ship the past few months.
  15. I'd say hard pass on Bumgarner if the Giants ask for any of the big three discussed above. Strikeouts and velocity trending downward. I'd be interested for lower level prospects/lottery tickets and spare parts however.
  16. If they want to include Diaz, I would be interested. They'd have to take Albers and Anderson /Davies, a lighter haul of prospects and kick in some cash though. Maybe throw in Jeffress or Thames also to help offset the money.
  17. I'm not absolving Bando of all blame in Molitor's departure, but Harry Dalton was a factor as well in giving Higuera and Stubbs relatively expensive deals in the previous of seasons. Neither of them contributed squat after the ink dried on the contacts. Another thing to keep in mind was that Yount had declined substantially after the big deal that he (rightly) received after his 1989 MVP season, and Molitor was roughly the same age and carried substantial injury history/risk. That said I will blame Bando for putting many eggs in the Kevin Reimer basket that off season, as he was actually portrayed as a big acquisition. That trade and his play were absolutely brutal.
  18. Gibson would be a major upgrade over Miley and Dozier would be an upgrade over what they currently have at second. I'm on board with this pending the players the Twins request. Id be fine with Santana plus a few arms/bats not currently on the 25 man roster (excluding Hiura/Arcia).
  19. Free pass? Stearns has done great so far. I'm not going to blame him for Segura and especially Gennett. Both were basically run out of town.
  20. In my opinion, solid chance that Woodruff would outperform Bundy down the stretch in the unlikely event he was actually given the opportunity to take the ball every 5th day.
  21. What am I missing on Merrifield? Two recent first rounders and a possible org Top 5 arm? Is that a joke? I'd bet a large sum that Hiura would outproduce this guy at the plate rest of this year if given the opportunity.
  22. Maybe I'm too old to understand social media's role with the younger generation, but when will these guys learn?
  23. I think Dozier will command a lot more than people think. Once Machado goes, he's going to be everyone's plan B. Lots of Twin fan cynicism right now, and I don't think they move him without a lot coming back.
