Bad news for him, but good news for the Brewers. Rockies are a potential wild-card rival. I've been shocked by players becoming good, but few have shocked me more than Jorge. I hope for the best for him.

If he's decent to slightly above average defensively, he's a pretty big upgrade. I admit I don't know for sure. He did OBP .340 in 2009 in a full season, which is miles better than anything Betancourt has ever done. There are better options for sure, but I would consider Ryan to be an upgrade. Which is more of a commentary on Betancourt than anything else.

Yeah, I would like to think he's a professional, as is Doug. I think he's a pretty darn good fit and wouldn't cost that much. I haven't looked, but I can't imagine he projects higher than a type B, and in any case, I doubt he gets offered arby (maybe though), so prospect-wise I think he'd be attainable. Just get Betancourt off my TV. He makes my eyes bleed.

Stunning isn't nearly strong enough. Unthinkable. Unfathomable................. That is a disgusting lineup. And they'll probably own Gallardo. Nice job Yo. I'll take my crow medium rare.

Wow. People are pretty optimistic about Gallardo. Wish I could share that thought. He's been pretty dreadful this year. I'm hoping he can finish strong, but right now he's pretty bad. Seems like everything is up every time he pitches. Will happily eat my words.

I prefer Hardy to anyone you listed except Reyes, who will be out of our price range prospect-wise. I'll leave it to the statheads to talk about Ryan's defense, but I know he's better than Betancourt in every way except power, which is no big deal on this team. I could get behind a Ryan trade as long as we don't give up much. A player 20+ on the power 50 with a low-ceiling. I wouldn't give up more than that for him. Rob Wooten for example. Low ceiling type.

That would truly suck. Although Parra infuriates me so much that I'm willing to take the risk. I also really like Stewart as a player. His performance this season baffles me.

Agree. I would hit gomez 7 and lucroy 8 and take some dude off the street to play ss and hit 6.........or better yet trade for jj hardy.

Jeez, enough with the 3 for 47 crap. Who cares? I mean do people really think he forgot how to hit? I'd love to have Stewart on our bench. He can play 3rd or 1st and he came up as a 2B, so he could probably handle it in a pinch. Do people really worry about losing Brandon Boggs when considering getting Stewart? I'd do Parra for Stewart in a heartbeat. Of course, I'd trade Parra for pretty much anything, so I guess that isn't relevant. I'd like Stewart on our team though, I know that.

Why? Gamel hits lefties as well as he hits righties. Nady and Cantu are garbage. This. 100%. Also, I'd like Swisher, but I'm pretty sure the Yankees will pick up that option unless he has a bad year. What's $9M to them?

No, the "cardinal sin" is always shooting down everything everybody else says by taking the statistically easy way out (as Invader alluded to). Can't guys get excited for their players w/out constantly being told that their ideas are foolish? I know that some posters can get ahead of themselves but it is pretty lame to see how consistently important and accurate some peoples opinions seem to come off as. Remember, "fan" is short for "fanatic". Let guys have some fun once in a while... Aren't you the guy that rags on Fielder all the time?
