    Look at his numbers from '21 & '22. Then you'll see the point. If he can get back to that guy, he's a great addition. And even if he's the guy he's been this season he's better than Strzelecki. I share your worry about it being more than that though.

    I'd be surprised if it's a top 15 type prospect, but we will find out soon enough.

    Chafin was very good in '21 & '22. Walks are up this year though. If the Brewers can fix that, he has the potential to be excellent.

    Would definitely be interested in Melendez if we didn't have Contreras. I'm not a Blackburn or Skubal fan. The other two, sure, if the price is right. Cease would cost a TON however.

    If that K rate stays close to that, he's a complete monster. Even if it's like 17 or 18%. Not likely, but if he's figured out what pitchers (who are five years older than him) are trying to do to him it's over.

    This one I'm not down with. I'd be fine with Black coming up and being given a shot at DH, but I think Chourio can wait about 10 more months. Jmo.

    Pretty ridiculous comparison. I personally would not give up a top 100 prospect for Jimenez. I'd go Brown and another player but that's about it.

    Imagine pontificating about Jimenez and continually saying that the fact that's he's a DH only is irrelevant. It lowers his value significantly. Obviously .

    I'm speaking mathematically. Their schedule is far more difficult than ours. They don't have Brandon Woodruff coming back either (we may not either, so I don't weigh that very heavily). The Brewers are the better team, and every projection says that. I think it far more likely that the Reds don't make the playoffs than the Reds win the division. I like the Brewers by 3-5 games.
