  1. Meh. Not worried about Olson. Not a huge fan of this, but he seems like he'll help some. Need another pen arm. Raisel Iglesias please.
  2. I've seen several people say this. Olson hasn't shown much other than he walks a lot of guys. Am I missing something with him?
  3. Well this will make crewin07 happy at least.
  4. Your move Stearns.
  5. And it's gonna get a lot worse....
  6. Gonna make it even sweeter to beat them. If we even see them.
  7. Padres getting Scherzer.
  8. Can you call up 2 pitchers? I was under the impression one had to be a fielder.
  9. So, pretty much irrelevant? I agree. Although I'm guessing Escobar will be a hell of a lot more helpful than Ty Webb. I mean Cooper only has 1.2 WAR this year but that's 2 more than the -.8 put up by Keston. Ok. I mean there's really no chance he would've been a Brewer this year anyway, but even so He's had 3 war in 5 years. Basically irrelevant.
  10. There's really no one even remotely available that I would trade Mitchell for personally. Change Mitchell to Turang and I'm in, although I don't think the Twins would be.
  11. Hook this into my veins.
  12. LOL Hand just went to the Blue Jays, probably while you were typing that. Well darn it.
  13. My top target would be Brad Hand. Failing that a Kyle Gibson/Ian Kennedy package would really shore up the pitching. Or hey, why not both? A Hader/Hand/Williams/Kennedy/Cousins/Suter/Boxberger pen sounds good. A guy can dream.
  14. Really like the trade. Got some great versatility and a seasoned veteran for nothing that matters this year or likely the next 5 years. Ciprion may develop, and that's fine, but this really helps this year's team. Now go get a couple arms and start preparing for October.
  15. Yeah, but not the way I was hoping... Unless Escobar extends, I think this rental is going to be about as bad as the Garrett Cooper dump over the long haul. So, pretty much irrelevant? I agree. Although I'm guessing Escobar will be a hell of a lot more helpful than Ty Webb.
  16. A big overpay for Bryant unless Cubs pick up his salary and we send Lindbloom back as well. Mancini hasn't played outfield since 2019 so as a 1B it would be an overpay for him as well where he's average to slightly above. Though there would be ways to make it work. Yeah I worded that poorly. I wouldn't give them all 3 for Bryant. One of the pitchers and Henry would be my offer there.
  17. What does Turang, Small or Ashby and Henry get you on the corner market? Mancini? Bryant? I would think both but I don't really know. If Baltimore kicked in one of their relievers, I would think pretty hard about it.
  18. Hopefully (and presumably) banned.
  19. Ironic part is roughly 30% of the payroll is in CF.
  20. Thanks for the side-by-side. Similar batting profile, but Gallo is miles better on the bases and defensively.
  21. What about his OBP/SLG though? 119 wRC+ career vs lefties, 115 wRC+ career vs righties. Maybe not very good, but 15 to 20 percent above average across the board. I'm not denying that he wouldnt be an upgrade, all i can think of when i hear his name is a young Mark Reynolds. Reynolds was never the OBP guy Gallo is. Nor the baserunner, nor the fielder. Edit: I'm comparing young Reynolds to current Gallo, not their whole careers.
  22. This is what I think the issue is.
  23. I'd rather have Mancini than Gallo, just due to right-handedness and I think he'd cost less prospect-wise. But I'd still be very very happy to get Gallo.
