  1. I can't imagine having the best defense in baseball with Yelich in LF, Hiura at 1B, a position he has never played, and Narvaez at catcher. That doesn't scream "best" to me. Have we improved from last year defensively? Yes, assuming Cain hasn't lost a step. I don't really put Shaw into the category of an elite defender. Have we improved offensively? Probably, assuming Yelich and Hiura's acts last year won't be repeated. Shaw is a wild card. We have no idea where he will be offensively. We still have Arcia unless Urias overtakes him. This reads like a poem, but nothing rhymes.
  2. Good God. Yoenis Cespedes is your answer? Laughable.
  3. I can't see this team winning even a weak NL Central with this offense. Its great that the pitching and defense look good but this offense looks about as putrid as it was last season. How much defense do you need behind Burnes (13.3 K per 9), Woodruff (11.1), Williams (17.7) and Hader (14.7)? They accounted for just about 35% of the total innings. This may be the easiest question you've ever asked. The answer: As much as possible, the more the better.
  4. Yeah, $20MM for 2 years for a guy that's pitched 60 innings over the last 3 years? Not for the Brewers. If he flames out it won't matter to the Mets, but it would hurt us.
  5. Dodgers win total =104.5 Which is a surprise to almost nobody.
  6. I feel like this should be stickied to the top of every board on this forum. Even though it's completely untrue.
  7. Not much of a bar. Arcia is terrible. But they'll battle it out in the spring, and I expect Urias to win that spot, at least in a part-time role. I think Urias will play all over and play a lot.
  8. One of my go-to videos when someone tries to tell me how great the NBA was in the late 90s/early 2000s. 74-73.
  9. Wait, you were serious? Lol. Dodger win total will be about 105 if it's 162 game season. https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/depth-charts/dodgers They have nearly an entire starting offense projected to bat over an 800+OPS. The one starter at 2nd base Taylor is backed up by top prospect Gavin Lux who has close to 780 OPS projection. The Brewers have Yelich and nobody else. Pitching. Dodgers have 3 Cy Young candidates headlining an offense that doesnt need CY Young candidates to win 50pct of the games. But they do. Their top pitching prospects who pitched for them last season all had under 3ERA in the small sample of games. These guys were rated about where Woodruff was rated when he joined Milw. So its not like Kershaw goes down and LA is pitching a 4+ mediocre starter behind him. Legit #2 or 3 steps in. This runs 7 deep now. Again paired with an offense that has a Yelich bat in it and every other bat better than Brewers #2 bat. It's a Super Team. Expect it to be Super. Yeah, cool. There is literally zero chance that the over/under on the Dodgers is anywhere near 116. But yeah, they're really good. Tremendous analysis.
  10. You think the over/under is that the Dodgers will go 122-40 next season? I'll take the under. Added Bauer and resigned Turner. 116 wins based on pct last season.Aside from SD what team in Division is fielding an 80 win team? NL central is filled with 80win teams that will have at least 1 exceed since half games played vs eachother. Wait, you were serious? Lol. Dodger win total will be about 105 if it's 162 game season.
  11. So the original 10K don't need proof of vaccination? Never going to happen especially since the rollout has been completely inefficient, everyone won't have access to the vaccine by opening day. I've been communicating with my rep a lot about this. The full and half season folks will be golden. The 20-packs pre-set plans will also be fine. The Fan's Choice will get pre-sales for individual games for what's left. This will be evaluated month-to-month. If you want 20 guaranteed games, you have until today to change to a pre-set. For example, Fan's Choice will get an option to elect games for April, based on availability. What they don't use will rollover to May/2022. They could just not go at all, and roll the whole thing 2022. So you will still have some version of Fan's Choice, your games just may not be there when it's your turn. There will be promos this year, but not many. The only official ones are some Sundays they know they will give out bobbles. Because of the way those are purchased, the same bobble will be given out more than one date. They ordered 30k Aaron bobbles for example, and they may be given out in two dates of 15k or three dates of 10k. The team's hope is that at some point they can flip a switch and do full capacity this season. You can also elect your 20 games in FC now, so that if that happens, you're already in the system. This would also get you the games you do want IF they are available under the current circumstances. This seems fair. STH should get first dibs and then on down the line.
  12. 3/4 plan to wear masks after this is over? They aren't doing that now, at least where I live. Yeah, I seriously doubt that. It's one thing to say that to a survey-taker and another to actually do it. Anyway, I'd consider the source on that one.
  13. ...and the sad thing is, it isn't going to be fixed. ever. Sure doesn't look good. It just gets worse and worse.
  14. I think Urias is trade bait myself as part of package for a starting pitcher and they want either Turner or someone like Brad Miller or Jake Lamb to platoon with Robertson. Turang will be Arcia's heir, not Urias. I would be completely shocked if this is how it goes down. They gave up a lot for Urias. I can't believe they'd trade him before giving him a chance. Plus Arcia stinks.
  15. I definitely think he is our 3b right now. He could be our ss if we acquire a 3B.
  16. 3rd year option is pretty underrated too. That could be nice if the world is back to somewhat normal.
  17. I would go: Wong Cain Yelich Get the two table setters on base before Yelich steps to the plate. You talked me into it. I bet CC goes my way as long as Cain is healthy (and I don't think that makes it right).
  18. Cain Wong Hiura Yelich Garcia Narvaez Arcia Urias P I can dig it. Our bench stinks, but I like the lineup. Still would like a better 3b and make Urias the SS/ultra utility man, but it's got potential.
  19. No kidding. Incredible how badly people want to be mad.
  20. It's astonishing that you've observed him for 5 years and arrived at his conclusion. It must take quite an effort.
  21. That's about all this post deserves.
  22. He's the best defensive 2B in the league. He's not playing 3b. Also he is a decent hitter, and better than decent for a 2B. Good signing in my opinion. Not great but pretty good. I like the option. I'd give it a B or a B+.
  23. There was a time when that was the case. Ironically, the baseball team was generally terrible at that time.
