  1. I've had that thought but it doesn't bother me. If nobody else sticks out and they think they really need a LB, I don't mind a bit of a reach to get the guy you want. I keep seeing Cooper as the #1 guy for the position, but never know how individual teams evaluate.
  2. Chargers lose all their WRs and they take a tackle? Lot of talk that Nabers was just as good as Harrison maybe was just talk? It'll be interesting where McCarthy goes. I suspect (granted, what the heck do I know?) a lot of the hype was pushed by mock draftsmen wanting to stir talk.
  3. For all the players NE needs I have a hard time thinking they'll draft a QB unless they move back in the 1st. They're not Carolina-bad, but are they really that far apart? They should grab Harrison or Alt and get a QB next year.
  4. Good point about Tom. Maybe his versatility means we could do more of a BPA on the OL and not have to be specific to one position. And this being Myers' last year I don't think C/G is necessarily off the table.
  5. DeJean doesn't seem big enough to be that kinda box safety we could use to shut down the short center of the field. If we want him more as a CB/FS I think I'd rather go with a pure CB.
  6. They exist so you have something to whip at your little brother.
  7. Middleton won't be going anywhere, but maybe there will be some room to trade Brook Lopez's expiring contract with a couple second-rounders to pick up one or two Patrick Beverly types. Marjon is just another player, but maybe Bobby would have to go mostly as Milwaukee's only real tradeable asset. Fans sure wouldn't love that, though.
  8. Giannis isn't going anywhere unless he demands it. You hope he stays forever and you get to retire his jersey as a forever-Buck. Considering Kareem hated Milwaukee and left, Giannis would be the Robin Yount and Hank Aaron of Bucks Basketball, which really needs a player like that. We could probably get by fine with Giannis and Lillard as the only big scorers, but I find it hard to imagine Middleton and Lopez have any real trade value, and it's their two positions which need replacing more than anything. Middleton makes way too much for his production and Lopez is too slow to catch the cutter anymore. But good luck adding speed and defense basically without the draft.
  9. That was the most depressing thumbs up I've ever given, Chorizo. I remember trying to find a career-oriented job shortly after the 2008 crash and it took a good few years to finally find one. Sure hope me or anybody else doesn't have to go through that challenge again.
  10. Diggs doesn't have a long amount of time left on his contract. Just long enough to be a high-level fill-in while one of their really good other WRs maybe steps up into that #1 role. Odell Beckham was paid a ton of money last year to be not that great. Does Diggs really need to be super-productive again or does he just need to be a reasonable-enough threat to open more opportunities for the other guys?
  11. Record amount of BTC shorts right now. Microstrategy heavily shorted, too--which are both pretty great. A person could do well short-term holding BTC just going opposite the short and long positions. Last cycle BTC did 730% from right here to the top of the cycle. Should today copy, that would get us just a touch away from $500k. Granted that doesn't account for the law of diminished returns, but it still puts a smile on your face either way:)
  12. Boy if that was the pre-halving dip, that sure wasn't much. Still a little miffed that my holdings haven't gone up at all since the start of the year, but trying to resist the urge to shift everything around into something else. Palm AI and Autonolas haven't done anything, but I also don't dislike either to really want to jump out.
  13. I'm selling my hot dog cart. Lost money on it last year due to not being out there enough, but doing so more often isn't manageable. It was genuinely fun to be out there, though, so maybe I'll do it again if I stay in the US for retirement. Not selling it at some huge discount so the sale of it has been slow.
  14. Put noodles in it and it ceases to be chili. At that point it's just an over-sauced pasta dish.
  15. Do we really even have much FA money left after McKinney? I would think whatever we have left is reserved for picking up training camp cuts and frontloading Love's extension.
  16. Who is Justin Herbert supposed to throw passes to now?
  17. Cousins still just the 10th highest paid QB. Seems like a good deal for both sides. Falcons offense gonna be scary good.
  18. If it's the right move it's the right move, but I could use some help in understanding the Jones cut. Didn't he only have one year left on his contract? And if it's a $12M cap hit, were we really saving that much from what we'd have been paying him? I totally get not extending him past that, but wouldn't it have been best to let him play one season and then just not re-sign him?
  19. For the difference Jones makes when he's on the field, I guess they didn't want to take their chances with a rookie RB if Jones is hurt an extended period again. I'd heard they were really big on Saquon but I guess he was too expensive. The report I heard also said they were going after McKinney pretty hard.
  20. Barkley or Henry would obviously be great, but if GB only has room for one big FA add, CB or S or LB would sure represent a bigger difference than RB. Especially if the new DC likes to run a lot of single-high safeties.
  21. Soooooooo soooooooo close! And about eight months earlier than normal, too.
  22. Even with trackers in the ball to tell yardage we'd have the same kind of arguments over when a player was actually down on contact.
  23. With a RB's short lifespan it feels like right now is one season too early to start thinking about replacing Jones with another Jones-type back. So with Gute saying he likes the power compliment to Jones it seems the higher priority is either re-signing Dillon or finding a Dillon-type replacement. That also dismisses the idea of Wilson getting a bigger role in the offense, but I'm fine with that. Granted, for someone like Jonathan Taylor you can certainly toss everything else out the window.
  24. Couldn't agree more and even the eye test shows it. At the next halving we've always been 40% off the previous ATH, but I think it was yesterday we made it to within 16%. So who knows if that means the upcoming dip is big and knocks us back into reality or hopefully it's a harbinger of an absolute monster bull season to come. Though I'm still debating taking profits here, not so much for gas fees but slippage can make a trade pretty darn expensive. Makes me think I should have at least one asset strictly on Coinbase so I can count selling that in its entirety as taking profits on all the others but only pay that small fee.
  25. Crossing my fingers we'll get to see Braelon Allen in a Packers uniform. Gute has said he really likes having a big back behind Jones for the bad weather, so with Dillon as a FA, Allen would sure fit the bill.
