  1. I was kinda thinking they'd wind up consolidating some of their extra picks and nab an extra 2nd or 3rd and shed a few Day 3 picks. Maybe it's just the opposite.
  2. That's presuming they all grade out about the same. Despite a heap of CBs if there's one guy they like in particular it could still be valuable to make sure you get him.
  3. If we traded Lillard this offseason he'd certainly get a haul back in return, though we'd be dreadful if we had to rely on Middleton to be the #2 scorer.
  4. Well they got drastic to change things after their exit last year. Maybe again this summer?
  5. If the Packers moved up I'm more in favor of Powers-Johnson.
  6. Tom can be the team's Bill Hall.
  7. Any OL or NT automatically gets that "Oh. Ok." reaction. I was curious what the Packers brass thought of Walker, if he held his own in the second half or if it was more because he got a lot of help. This feels like the answer. Plus we're really shallow there, so I'm good with the pick.
  8. Time to trade up and get Quinyon.
  9. I'd written him off because everybody in the world had him going to the Colts. I'd be interesting to know what Gutenkunst is thinking with all this.
  10. Byron Murphy or Terrion Arnold would sure be tempting to move up and get.
  11. McCarthy about to be the happiest QB in the room?
  12. I'd have liked a DE or even the TE to Chicago more than another WR, but admittedly I don't know a ton about Odzune.
  13. I mean I get Penix's deep-ball ability fits well with Atlanta's WRs, but does Cousins have some kind of an out in his contract or something? Do they expect a guy drafted that high to sit that long? Do they think Cousins is tradeable after this season or something?
  14. $5 to anyone who guessed Penix to Atlanta.
  15. >it's really pointless(and a little arrogant) to get disappointed about a prospect. But also half the fun.
  16. I've had that thought but it doesn't bother me. If nobody else sticks out and they think they really need a LB, I don't mind a bit of a reach to get the guy you want. I keep seeing Cooper as the #1 guy for the position, but never know how individual teams evaluate.
  17. Chargers lose all their WRs and they take a tackle? Lot of talk that Nabers was just as good as Harrison maybe was just talk? It'll be interesting where McCarthy goes. I suspect (granted, what the heck do I know?) a lot of the hype was pushed by mock draftsmen wanting to stir talk.
  18. For all the players NE needs I have a hard time thinking they'll draft a QB unless they move back in the 1st. They're not Carolina-bad, but are they really that far apart? They should grab Harrison or Alt and get a QB next year.
  19. Good point about Tom. Maybe his versatility means we could do more of a BPA on the OL and not have to be specific to one position. And this being Myers' last year I don't think C/G is necessarily off the table.
  20. DeJean doesn't seem big enough to be that kinda box safety we could use to shut down the short center of the field. If we want him more as a CB/FS I think I'd rather go with a pure CB.
  21. They exist so you have something to whip at your little brother.
  22. Middleton won't be going anywhere, but maybe there will be some room to trade Brook Lopez's expiring contract with a couple second-rounders to pick up one or two Patrick Beverly types. Marjon is just another player, but maybe Bobby would have to go mostly as Milwaukee's only real tradeable asset. Fans sure wouldn't love that, though.
  23. Giannis isn't going anywhere unless he demands it. You hope he stays forever and you get to retire his jersey as a forever-Buck. Considering Kareem hated Milwaukee and left, Giannis would be the Robin Yount and Hank Aaron of Bucks Basketball, which really needs a player like that. We could probably get by fine with Giannis and Lillard as the only big scorers, but I find it hard to imagine Middleton and Lopez have any real trade value, and it's their two positions which need replacing more than anything. Middleton makes way too much for his production and Lopez is too slow to catch the cutter anymore. But good luck adding speed and defense basically without the draft.
  24. That was the most depressing thumbs up I've ever given, Chorizo. I remember trying to find a career-oriented job shortly after the 2008 crash and it took a good few years to finally find one. Sure hope me or anybody else doesn't have to go through that challenge again.
  25. Diggs doesn't have a long amount of time left on his contract. Just long enough to be a high-level fill-in while one of their really good other WRs maybe steps up into that #1 role. Odell Beckham was paid a ton of money last year to be not that great. Does Diggs really need to be super-productive again or does he just need to be a reasonable-enough threat to open more opportunities for the other guys?
