  1. Agreed. Except Lauer would be the starter game 4 of NLCS. Burnes can go on 3 days rest for one start, even if that's only 4 innings.
  2. I'm hoping that's good news. Hollman would flash at times, seemed like some upside there. If that means they have at least 2 or 3 better guys to play the slot, great.
  3. All this "game's over" stuff is getting ridiculous. With the season they're having, so little faith. As Coach Cooper always said in more colorful language "We blew it??!!? Forget that, were going to pour it on!!"
  4. Lots of good signs for sure, but I think he's locked in on the 1st read on every play.
  5. I like this version of Oren Burks.
  6. Sometimes you lose series to bad teams too. A six month, 162 game season is a marathon and anomalies happen along the way. Nothing about this series loss concerns me. Nothing.
  7. USA passes China in the gold medal count, thanks to a barrage of golds by various women's teams on the final day.
  8. As expected, new rule changes were approved to crack down on players trying to draw fouls. Great for the Bucks, since Giannis and the rest of the regulars won't be hurt by this.
  9. Just one, says our terrible official scorer. It's not his fault, an error is never given when the ball isn't touched. Stupid rule though, yea.
  10. Ideal lineup vs LH starter is different than RH starter, always start there. Ideally, Yelich would be moved down vs LHP, Cain would be moved up. Just 2 examples.
  11. Everything now is about the playoffs. Rotations, who's a backup, etc. doesn't mean anything. It's all about having players with specific skill sets for playoff basketball. Forbes was unplayable in the playoffs due to his defense, or non-defense to be exact. Now you replace him with DDV and Hill, that's a pretty significant improvement.
  12. That's what happens when you don't practice with the same four guys.
  13. Danny Green works for me, about as good as you can get for players still out there. Replaces Forbes offense, and gives you a little more size and way more defense.
  14. George Hill for a vet min is a good deal
  15. I hope he does not. At full strength, there should be no reason for him to be anywhere near the bullpen.
  16. I've been a vocal Stearns supporter, but this season is his best work yet. On track for 100ish wins with a horrible Hiura, pedestrian Yelich, and Williams largely a non-factor. Incredible.
  17. At full strength, OPS+ for IF bench is now Urias 101, Peterson 108, Vogelbach 91. Pretty special.
  18. They were up against the cap last season and somehow got Portis, Forbes, and Augustine to round out the roster. I'm sure the situation is a little different this time around, but there always seems to be a way to add a couple vets for bench depth. I hope they give the young guys some run in the reg season. If only one of them can be a legit option in the playoffs it's worth it. They may not have Portis and Tucker but replace them with DDV, let's say Diakate, and then another late season pickup. I'm not worried about losing Bobby's energy, it's his bench scoring that needs to be replaced. If Nwora can come in and drain a few 3s, that's plenty of energy for me.
  19. How exactly are Packer fans the biggest cry babies?
  20. They still have dead cap next year for Larry Sanders and Leuer. Seems like they played for us 20 years ago. Also this. Just experiencing Giannis vs Rodgers in real time hits home for me. Giannis works out a deal to stay in town, wins a ring, and is already talking about more. Genuinely meant something to him to win in Milwaukee. Just makes Rodgers look even more pathetic. Whining noises.....ewww I want more love....more money....I'm not respected. Gross.
  21. It will sink in tomorrow, I'm stoked but atill stunned. Somewher Paschke is crying .
  22. Giannis, do two more basketball things!!!!@
