  1. They would also have a ton of cap space starting 22-23 season, so if Love doesn't look the part they can trade for or sign a top tier QB. One lost season isn't so bad.
  2. That type of player would definitely come to Milwaukee to play with Giannis. Problem is they have no cap room for anyone, let alone a big time scorer like that.
  3. Coach Cooper always said put a little vaseline under the brim of your cap.
  4. Darvin Ham would be a leading candidate.
  5. They have the horses, but they're playing like donkeys. Putting up 80 points is all mental. Durant and Kyrie will get theirs, still no reason for the Bucks not to put up 120 as tgey typically do against anyone.
  6. That's all excuses. Brooklyn has superstars, they score a lot...cool. So do the Bucks, they put up 120+ all year until they hit this playoff wall every year. 33 points with 3 minutes in the half.
  7. Like I said, it's over.
  8. Giannis will get those too if he doesn't settle for fade away jumpers.
  9. Do they still have the fan voting for last player on the roster? I think they get Woodruff, Burnes, Hader. We'll have vote one of Narvaez or Peralta in, and hopefully the other gets added due to an injury or something. If Peralta keeps this up for another 3 starts, he's definitely deserving.
  10. Bucks big 3 played just 20 minutes together. Giannis played 35 minutes, vs 40 for Durant and 45 for Irving. Bud cites "deep bench" as the reason. That is very disturbing. Problem #2 is Giannis admitted they had jitters. After what happened in the playoffs the past two seasons they had the jitters??!!? It showed. Nets look calm, confident, a bit of swagger. Bucks looked out of sorts on offense. Missing shots is one thing, but they weren't shooting most of their 3s with confidence. I get it's one game, but I stand by my comment that it's over. The "heart of a champion" thing is tough to explain, but easy to see. Bucks don't believe they're the best and know they'll win. They're trying to win, and that's a huge difference.
  11. This narrative about getting paid for saves is over the top. Yea, it may factor in during his arby years, but not at all for his mega contract he'll get soon. Every GM knows his value, they don't need the save stat to tell them that. There's no reason to use him any differently at this point in the season. It allows him to make more appearances, so I don't see the problem here. If they face that situation in the 8th come playoff time, or need a win late to win the division, they will use him that way I'm sure. Just as they'll let the big 3 pitch deeper into games if they're rolling. It's being smart.
  12. They're done. I've seen rhis movie before. No ball movement, no taking advantage of match-ups, and generally playing tight.
  13. I had to throw my bag of peanuts away, they would not let me through. That was in May, if that matters.
  14. Playoff freak-out Bucks have arrived. Absolutely notjing Brooklyn is doing to prevent the Bucks from putting up 120+. Just the Bucks being tight and not eunning any offense. Lopez and Giannis in the paint all day long, it's so simple.
  15. Bucks in 6. Let's go!
  16. Twins are a very distant third.
  17. Correct. I still don't understand what else there is to talk about then?
  18. Haha, outstanding!
  19. What superstar did LeBron have in Cleveland? Kyrie? Gimme a break. Really good player, but not the player Pippen was. Besides, you can say that about any of the all-time great NBA players, especially in recent times. Nobody wins with a superstar and a bunch of crap around him. Edit: I feel very uncomfortable defending LeBron.
  20. Huh? That’s what coaches do. Ryan too. Sometimes it backfires and you get even less calls. Of all the things to lose respect for..... There must be more to the story... please share. Go watch the tape. It went beyond what is acceptable for a college coach. Apparently not, since he didn't get kicked out of the game or even get a technical foul. I didn't see it, but I'll picture the worst. I have no problem with it, I would expect my coach to use his name, reputation, influence...whatever it takes. Remember, it's a game. Would I respect coach Smart screaming in the face of a worker when he's shopping at Target? No. Screaming at a ref? Have at it.
  21. Counsell is stupud, Hader not used right, Bradley shouldn't have been in the lineup...Brewers win!!
  22. So what about the 80M we guaranteed him when he signed the deal in '18? That doesn't mean anything anymore because he won MVP in '20? No one seems to have an answer for this, how often do we need to extend him and how far out do we have to kick the can down the road for him to feel loved and appreciated? Not the point, this started the off-season before his MVP season. How often? That's probably Rodgers point. He wanted a long term commitment, not a 2 year deal with a team option for 2 more years. (To put put it in MLB terms.) He likely wanted a contract that would be structured to create cap hell for the Packers if was cut before he's 44, 45....whatever. A few years more than two, put it that way. Again, I completely see the risk involved for the Packers if they did that. So I'm not on Rodgers side, just trying to explain where I think he's coming from. I said months ago it's odd we weren't hearing anything about a contract extension. Pretty sure this is why. Packers likely were willing to tack on two years after this past season, and Rodgers took that as in insult. Nope, I don't know any of this is factual. But reading between the lines, it's the simplist explanation.
  23. Maybe that has to do with a contract extension not getting done last year, and then the MVP made Rodgers think that he can demand more guaranteed $ or a longer contract term. My point was to counter those who were saying that it was about the Packers not telling him that they intended on drafting a QB. Nowhere has Rodgers directly said that. Anything else is an inferential, subjective interpretation of vague words. Right, drafting Love was just an extension of the bigger issue of not getting a long term contract done. In Rodgers mind. As in, not only won't you commit to me long term but now you trade up to get a QB. It all goes together, drafting Love wasn't the problem, it just magnified it.
