I know nothing about Peppers, but if he's a Hyde type, Last thing we need. Gunter can do that, Brice, Rollins. Slot defender as 1st round pick? No more hybrid cb/safeties. No more converted we or basketball players. If they go cb, get a cb.
They placed pitchers in AAA/AA based on their "stuff." That's why Lopez and Wilkerson, and soon Jungmann are in AA. Avoiding the not so friendly skies of Colorado Springs.
I don't know that Michael Reed is under the radar. He's been on the radar for quire a while, it's just that he's been identified as a flock of geese rather than an ICBM.
I'm not being combative, but why? What does he do that you like? For me? I think they play off each other very well. Good overall knowledge about players, rules of the game, strategy. And nice balance between game talk and general nonsense and fun banter. Plus, they walk the line of being homers about perfectly for me.
They were both easy plays for a major league SS. Look at how many more pitches Peralta had to throw. I don't care about wins and losses this year, I care about playing the game the right way. They have been the opposite early on.
I believe they are measuring fast balls differently this year, when it comes out of the pitcher's hand vs. closer to the plate as they have done in past years. Supposed to make a 1 or 2 mph difference, so Peralta still seems to be throwing harder than he normally does. Is that just at MP or throughout MLB? Minors? Would be good to know so I can calibrate accordingly. Sort of like years ago when 30 HRs was the new 20 HRs.
